... And if I'm not wrong, that junction is for turning out from minor road to main road and from the opposite side of the road, you cannot do a right turn into the minor road. Go check the arrow on the road around there. If the arrow is straight, clear cut case your father win. You can go make it a big issue so that the traffic police charge that driver with reckless driving and your insurance claim will be 100% against the other party.

is this true? anybody can confirm? if not I will be driving down to take a look personally... thanks for the heads up!

TS, btw, ur photos seems strange as the road under the car seems lighter, is it because of the rain?

glad there is no serious injury .

the lorry have so little crumple zone .

if a head on collusion with another vehicle , with the impact zone higher.

normally it's bye bye to the lorry driver's leg

by the have you check if that junction have junction cam installed by LTA ?

just saw the pics.

this is a small junction , not those major x - junction, just there should not have any junction cam installed

as long your dad statement claim he is not speeding, i doubt there is much they can prove he is speed

anyway, your dad have the right of way, main road, chances he will win the case

as even the lorry have witness, i doubt they can prove what speed your dad is traveling at.

Sorry to hear that, hope your dad will get well soon. If I were you, when the FT scolded your dad claiming your dad driving to fast, i'll make sure I'll give him piece of my mind there and then until he lao sai.

Lately, from my observation while driving, I find this group of drivers cause most hazard on the road. Be it driving recklessly or speeding.

1. Those lorry carrying loads of workers, driven by banglas or ah tiongs. (Speeding, while those at the back, most of them will be sleeping. One sudden impact, those at the back will sleep forever, i guess)

2. Those blue Malaysian registered bus, they call it bus kilang. (Always speeding and racing with each other)

3. Malaysian motorcyclist (they will be everywhere around you during peak hours and you have to look out for them just in case they decided to perform a Randy Mamola stunt.)

4. Cement trucks/trailers (Speeding and racing each other, weaving in and out of lane)

5. Those yellow school bus, I think they are from Singapore American School. (Same, speeding and racing each other).

If any of these vehicles were to get involve in road accident during peak hours, i'm sure the magnitude will be devastating. What I dont understand is that, TP will always not around to catch tham. Sigh.

my last concern, after such an impact from the accident... although all air bags are replaced.. how 'safe' is the car ready to accept anymore of such impacts? any experts in this can advice? =)

hm.. according to the workshop, chassis is fine. what's worrying me is that the suspension mounting area, the top part where strut bar is installed is totally tore off and weld-ed back. haha. although all looks and feel fine, but I'm still a little skeptical about it.

to be safe, dun track your car or do hard driving. consequences of suspension mount failure at such times might be catastrophic. But as a daily driver should be OK. what kind of welding was done? If done by professionals the welds might actually be much stronger than the chassis itself.
