Threadwear index is 300

300 sounds good but threadwear values are not absolute.

Since it's a new tyre, only after using it till minimum thread depth will we tell how long it can last.

I have just changed to Toyo C1S as well this weekend. Too early to tell on the performance as it's still running in. Won't be overly aggresive on it.

I'm running 228/45/17 & 245/45/17. First impression is it's pretty quiet. Handling seems a bit less sharp vs my stock re050s.

Will keep this thread updated as I go along.

I have done 1500km on my toyos c1s now since last post with a trip up North too.

I must say it is a very comfortable ride and quiet too. Howevere, it is a bit too soft for my liking. I pumped 39psi front and 40 psi rear as I was travelling in excess of 160kph.

Grip wise, it is there but due to the ride I am not as confident. The tyre almost feels like it is too willing to bend over to accomodate hence my lack of faith.

Overall I think it is a good set of tyres with more empahsis on ride comfort and noise level. The feel is different from my previous tyres so it will take me time to adapt and find the limits on these tyres.

Grip: 8/10

Comfort: 10/10

Nosie : 9.5/10

Steering response: 7/10

Just changed to Toyo Proxes C1S at Chen Jin Trading today. It's really quiet and smooth...really comfortable.

Will be running it over the next few days. Later be testing it over NS highway.

I'm no expet but will do. I read in other forums from other users that it will take about 500km to run in before seeing the full benefits.

So far it has been great. It's quiet and smooth. I have not pushed the capability yet but it handled pretty well on wet road and puddle water during the heavy downpour couples ago.

My friend driving a wish has just changed to this Toyo C1S 205/55/16 at AL Tyres , and he like it very much . Pretty quiet and good grip worth the money. :D

Just changed mine today.

Very smooth and very quiet. Of course maybe my previous ones (falken 912) are already quite worn out.

Paid rm650 per piece from JB (235/45/17). Saw other SG cars fixing this too.

Overall very pleased with this Toyo C1S.

Why JB? Is it cheaper?

I reckon for MIJ tyres, shouldn't be any difference in price.

Hi,

my stock tire is 215/60R17 (for estima hybrid), I asked two shops and they said Toyo C1S don't have profile 215/60R17, only have 225/15R17 and 215/55R17. which profile is better for comfort and quietness. One shop also commented 215/55R17 can't fit in stock rim, is it true?

Hope to hear any bro advise please.

Thanks.

Hi, what size do you need? I heard CSC3 is not too expensive for 17".

CSC3 is more sporty and has excellent braking qualities.

C1S is very quiet and comfortable and sporty enough for most drivers - probably only not recommended for all-out sports cars.
