No car alarm and remote comes 2 months later?? Hup long

Ok, i just collected my car and all seems good except for a few things:

 

The agent ONLY told me when i went down:

- Remote control car key is not shipped in yet will take 2-3mths (typo in title)!! So i only have 1 single key that has no remote now.

- Car alarm doesn't come with the car. Is that normal? I know i shld have checked but amidst all the things i checked, i left this out and assumed that all new cars now comes with alarm preinstalled. Is that not true?

- No antenna. Antenna comes with the remote car keys in 2-3mths. Sigh.

 

I bought a JDM Toyota Wish. Can someone enlighten me if this sounds fair?

Jdm models from PIs usually come without those basic alarm system thrown in by the ADs...so there's nothing unusual about it...

 

regarding the remote control key which you say needs another 2 mths to arrive....sounds like smoke to me...

 

what antenna you mean? for FM radio? haiz....

Alarm is standard. always make sure you have a detailed list of accesories that the PI had signed for in the agreement. the standard package when buying from PI is sport rims, solar film, alarm, 3m mat, leather seats, immobilizer and alwasy negotiate in nett price. also make sure you have a servicing contract with that is provided by the PI. it should be in some big workshop like comfortdelgro. call and verify the authencity of the servicing contract with the workshop.

yah well, i listed out almost everything else except these stuff, which was conveniently now left out. i'm definitely not pleased.....

 

i mean, it shld have been basic courtesy and professionalism to tell me beforehand that the car alarm doesn't come with it. it is definitely NOT ALRIGHT to assume that we know esp since the car in the showroom had alarm.

 

i think this may be the last time i ever buy from a PI. the whole experience is just too stressing and unknown. you never get a feeling of security and got to keep worrying if this will happen or that will happen. sigh......

JDM usually come with central locking. 1 key with the remote and 1 normal key.

 

Unless the JDM you buy is a high end model like EvoX or GTR were they come with their own keyless entry...then they will give you 2 remote.

 

Local AD cars are usually aftermarket alarm that is local fitted or factory fitted.

 

Key take 2 months to arrive ? I only heard before is BMW...cos their key has a transponder inside and need to be factory coded...else it will not work. A friend bought a 5 series (E39) last time and only they gave 1 key cos somehow the factory only provided one key instead of the usual 3 keys. So PML ask my friend to wait for 2 months....(they wait for the key to arrive together with their parts and vehicles and not special courier to him)

TS should have done more research on this before going for PI.

And btw, my frens axios both don come with alarms also, only keys and remote.

Want alarm pls install ownself or buy from AD

especially the one about your remote control key-think they must have lost it!

and fix up your own alarm. if they ever give you one, could be some crappy cheapo one that only make noise..

Remote locking and car alarm is different things, all my frens car from PI only got remote locking w/o alarms. This is an optional item and if its not in the sales agreement then its not valid. Pls do some research

cannot be only 1 key...it must have a pair. key is come with ur car regardless ur car is come with or without remote alarm. i think ur PI is keep 1 key for themself.....u better watch-out car carefully.

ur PI may be one of the steal car group, they may ask someone to drive away ur car.

Agree...at least TS already collected the car. The missing stuff are cheap...can get cheaply (under $500)

Funny rite! at todays car price, PI also cant include car alarm for their customer?

Should be standard. The only time I heard car alarm was optional was when my dad

bought his car 20 years ago...This PI not even worth considering.
