but what i read from the newspaper / if u remember got one newspaper called project eyeball, the boss owed $400,000 in rental to SSC..if i rem correctly

as for the food there, its not bad...

most of the items are deep fried

Was it only a year or so? I can't remember exactly, but it seemed longer than that. Yes, the location was not that convenient for those who don't drive. Couldn't drive then; I remember taking MRT to Kallang or Aljunied, then getting a cab there and taking away to eat at some park. Wish it's still around - I'll probably be frequenting quite a lot whenever I'm here if it was.

Oh yes I remember that! It's really one of the best Fish and Chip IMO! Fish and Co is good but not as good.

It's the location la... when it's still around I do not have a car, so difficult to travel there although I like it.

It should open here again, and get a good location, biz sure will be good!

the one u mentioned CMI unless one is desperate to settle cravings....

truly hard to find good authentic british food in spore. wonder how the brits stationed in spore get their dose of F&C, beef stew etc

There is a very authentic British Pub along Bukit Timah Road, along the shop houses next to Coronation Plaza call the Pork Barrel.. if I remember the name correctly, that sells authentic british food and it's always filled with brits on weekend.

Harry is really the best ard last time.....

Fish and Co and Mahattan got no fight....

the more i think abt it, i think its not the location.... MacD and KFC had been there for years! and they are still doing very well there.

ppl will still go there.

I suspect at that time, Harry didnt really do any marketing campaign or advertisements. so thats why not many ppl know abt them.

How about Wow Wow West in ABC Market? I wanted to try the last time i was there but sadly it has closed for the day. The portion seems reasonable and looks good.

i Luv Fish n Chips...yea, Harry Ramsdens was good, but i think it opened at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Back then ppl prob wldn't pay too much for fish n chips.

i think if u opened a store at Vivocity or something now, it'll prob do well

Yea, I miss Harry Ramsden, I am still holding their certificate. :D
