Sent my Teana over to Tomika Ubi yesterday to service my aircond. They used machine to recover the old oil and put in good quality japanese PAG oil. As usual the initial encounter is cold but after 15mins, the boss and workers warmed up and shared lots of technical stuffs with me. Before servicing air cond is quite cold, after servicing, it freaking freezes. Quoted $80 before servicing, billed $60+ 7%GST which i was pleasantly surprised.

In terms of technical expertise, i have no doubts that they knew their stuffs but once you get past their initial attitute, you willbe fine. :-)

why must bear with their attitude when you are paying them for their service?

Did you go there when they were having lunch, or on a Sunday, or without an appointment made? If not why such initial cold treatment to you?

Went to them two times to change coiling coil n compressor, if you talk to them nicely they are fine.

Their business is good so not really hardup for your money, so dun have the mentality that bcos you pay them money they must be very friendly to you.

Friendly does not equate to good service, if too friendly you have to beware...

Exactly!!! [thumbsup]

i think there is a small minority of drivers that are 'stupid'. they are not the only workshop that provide such service. therefore there is no need for the customer to put up with any such nonsense.

from my experience with them, they provide honest service thus quite busy and got no time to provide entertainment but they are not nasty people if not i wont have went back a second time

some 'smart' customers can be a pain in the arse to serve

Hi, need some advice. Today my aircon got problem. When car is stationery, aircon totally not cold. Open bonnet and see that fan is not moving. When car moves and after a while while on expressway, aircon is cold again.

Is that mechanical clutch problem or fan spoilt? Which one to go? Kim or Tomika?

go to this JS auto Air con at Toh Guan enterprise hub.

Even though they do mainly commercial vehicles, me and my colleagues passenger cars also go to them without problems

Thought JS do Bus air con only ?

Both of them are along the same stretch of workshop. Go to both and get a quote first. See which one you feel more comfortable with.

You are right about Tomika about them being very packed. Kim wasn't so pack. Car was done in about 1.5 hour and cost $160 for new Denso fan motor n labour. I didn't check price with tomika even they are just few shop apart as they are too pack but I guess should be around the same

Being packed could mean Tomika is good in service, price and workmanship ???

some people follow the queue blindly. it could be that the WS is not productive enough. for example, a simple 1 hr job can take them 2 hrs to do
