thanks for the prompt reply...

what is the price like for 15"

Yokohama A Drive or S Drive

anyway anyone know the price difference betweern hankook and Yokohama A Drive or S Drive?

I've tried S Drive, previous wheel (185/55r15, air was pumped at 210kpa) was on Sdrive. Very noisy.. if u are looking for comfort tyre, forgot about Sdrive. Grip wide i cannot commend as didnt drive aggressively on it as to drive aggressively on any 185mm width tyre is trying to commit suicide.

after driving the smaller Sdrive for about 1000km, i changed to a 205/45r16 Hankook V12 Evo. Now that the contact is more on the road (205 vs 185), the tyre is quieter and more comfortable even i pumped the v12 at either 230 or 250kpa, this definitely shows how noisy is the Sdrive. Grip on the V12 is decent too.

Conclusion: SDrive vs V12

Comfort: V12 for sure

quietness: V12 for sure

Grip: not sure as coannot compare as 1 is 185mm, another is 205mm

Price: i think v12 should be cheaper than Sdrive

i have also tried the following tyres throughout these years:

1. 2005-2007 hankook k406 (185/65r14) - cheapest, noisy and stiff, but grippy

2. 2007- 2008 BS Turanza GR80 (185/65r14) - inexpensive, quiet & comfortable not not as grippy

2. 2008-2009 BS Potenza G3 (205/45r16) - not cheap, noisy but relatively comfortable but grippy

3. 2009-2010 Hankook V8rs (205/50r16) - cheap, quiet & comfortable, quite grippy

4. 3 weeks in Feb 2010 Yoko SDrive (185/55r15) - not cheap, noisy & uncomfortable, grip not sure.

5. End Feb 2010 until now (travelled for around 2500km) Hankook V12 (205/45r16) - cheap, quieter & more comfortable than Sdrive. Grippy.

before i changed to v12, i have checked out and compared BS Gr90, BS Re001, Kumho Ku31, Hankook ventus prime, GY S2000. The priciest is BS Gr90 (absolutely ridiculous price imho for a comfort touring tyre), follow by re001, GY 2000 same as Ventus prime, then its v12, follow by ku31 being the cheapest.

sorry, a bit noob... but what is air valve? how do I know if the tyre shop change it?

bro, spend some $$ on stainless steel air valve instead of the usual rubber ones. then u will never have to worry about the rubber valves's rubber hardening due to the weather element and causes safety issues like air leakage etc. i changed the SS valves for less than $10 for all 4.

I just gotten my RE001 , 195/50R15 from Frankie a few weeks ago, got them at 120 a piece. Much cheaper than most other places that I have enquire about.
