Hey folks, just curious to find out what are your takes on the above topic? Some ppl are very turned off by tattoos, perhaps because of religion or our society's common believe that tattoos = bad chick.

 

Also, some ppl might feel intimidated or think that its disfigurement of the body....

 

I find gals with tattoos sexy, (I used to date a Tattoo artist actually). But I do have my limits... like full sleeves are a no-no.. (I don't even like tattoos on the hands of gals..) I reckon there's a thin line between artistic and ugly....

 

And for those guys who approves your gf with tattoos, which kinda designs do you like??

 

From common "tramp stamps" aka the lower back tribal pieces [sorry folks, the term may be offensive but that's what tattoo artists commonly refer to the placement and design as] to grey works, japanese works or the cute cartoon character, text in foreign languages or portraits, realistic works what are the design you would like (or secretly like) your gf or wives to have??

 

[PS: although my ex has quite alot of tattoos, hers are really nice, mostly grey works, realistic works and art nouveau designs... Its not the ah lian dragon/phoenix/eagle/ snake kind...]

Beauty, like some say, it's only skin deep.

 

I prefer artworks on canvases than human skin, especially when it grows old and the artwork is distorted in both colors and image/pattern/picture/art. It's subjective and up to individuals to appreciate or be appalled at tattoos.

 

There is stereotyping, no thanks many times to the constant portrayal in movies, especially of bad guys, drugs addicts and low lives of society who will flaunt full tattoos, eg gangsters, loansharks, prostitutes, pimps, etc. It is not surprising that these people in real life also took to getting tattoos as a form of identity or as often said, reel life is a reflection of real lives....imitating each other.

 

I have a few gal friends who have tattoos but all hidden and done on very small areas, like lower corner of shoulder, end of spinal area or upper arm. Mostly a small rose or butterfly or own initials. They shared it was done on impulse and just to know how it feels or simply to try for fun. They neither regret nor celebrate the tattoos' presence...no big deal to them. Not sure if they will go for more though.

To be honest, in the absence of social judgement and negative consequences, I prefer girls with tattoos. And blonde hair with purple streaks to go with it.
