Malaysia petrol caused Fuel Injector problem?

Ask him to prove it. Challenge the SC...if you send the fuel injectors to a independent test lab and if they say injector faulty is not due to M'sian petrol, they pay for the test and must replace the injector under warranty. And if wanna stir s*it...cc the letter to the petrol company in M'sia.

But how did the dealer know which country's petrol your friend was using in his car? I don't think it is the problem with the country's fuel....maybe it was due to a particular batch of fuel. Years ago, some Opels has this problem and the managed to trace it to a possible problem due to a certain batch of fuel of a particular brand. Opel customers were advised to avoid that brand for a short while.

 

In any case, there are plenty of toyotas and wish in m'sia...so what are these owners going to do? Drive to s'pore for petrol?

No use! so my friend changed the injectors outside workshop. He swear that he would never go back to SC again.

sorry bro it is a WISH. he's using SHELL. i'm wondering too as malaysian cars can be driven for more than 10 years using their own petrol regardless of brand. i have one relative driving 7 years CAMRY and still running strong without any problems.

 

so the usual way they push the blames whatever they can? this is too ridiculous. i found that SC technicians not really up to professional level.

Actually your friend should write to Shell and see what they have to say. If Shell can provide that their fuel will not damage the injectors....give their reply to BM and claim for compensation.
