IMHO.

This is the title -   Minimum pay to evade ICT
This is the first posting -  I have heard rumours that SAF will not send SAF100 to people earning above a certain amount. Does anyone know what is the minimum amount for SAF to consider someone too expensive?

I don't see any part of the title that is about helping those looking to escape ICT.  

Respect is people give.  Want to look also won't have.

I am one of those lost in the cycle. Have only been back twice (1 day each) for some lame battalion cohesion day. Basically just go back, play lame games, eat buffet then eff off. Still considered a waste of time la.

4 more years for me to evade them then I am free for good liao.

Is this the only way though? Will working in a startup or starting a new startup be a good reason? We are really tight for manpower and need to develop our product for potential investors. Time and resources honestly not in our favour 😞I wouldn't have minded the reservist if I were working in a large MNC and can easily find someone else to replace me.

Working in a startup - I don't think that sounds like an excuse they will accept.

Starting a new startup should work but ultimately depends on how reasonable the CO of your unit is. If unreasonable then fall back on MC lor.

I think above applies if you are the boss. If you are not the boss then maybe this is more applicable.

Btw, I tiagong of people who took too many times MC then scared of getting caught so they went to register a new biz at ACRA to escape reservist.  Think total cost (registration, dereg, etc) is less than 1k. Hawker license might be cheaper but dunno how to get that.

I do not think the downgrade route works if you want siam reservist. I was downgraded to C9 but still carried on reservist and finished all 10 cycles. Was excused from IPPT. But I like my reservist cos it’s a gathering of old buddies and my reservist is do nothing one just sit around and do area cleaning. If you want, can still work online and arrange to meet clients after 5pm, that’s what some of those insurance or property agents do. Most of us just relax and catch up.
