Air con compressor

Do any bros here haf any idea how much does a air con compressor cost? my company van, ford transit connect experience that the air con is not cool and went bk to authorised to check... They told me that the air con compressor nids to b changed and wif the compressor changed, the dryer oso nids to b changed as well as topping up of gas... whole cost is 1.3k... so juz to check wif fellow bros if u haf any place in mind that can do the job for a cheaper price? or any idea of how much a compresor would cost? thanks guys!

i got 4 quotations including markcool, but tomika was the cheapest... when i went down, its was even cheaper than wat they quoted on phone... decent job done too

Try to get 2nd opinion from other aircon workshop such as Mark Cool.

Markcool (woodlands) and Tomika (Bukit Merah and Ubi) are two good workshops. Ask them for quotation.

it depends on car model,it would be diff price of compressor.if your frens' car is just about 3 to 4 years old and the air cond is not cold enough.it might be spoit of valve.maybe you can try air con specialist in AMK,changing valve and filter just cost you about 200 to 300 bulks.i have few clients also facing such problem.hope it help.

My latio air con compressor up lorry liao, just went to the aircon workshop & they confirm need to be change.  My car will be due for scarp in end Oct, so I don't want to waste the $ on the new compressor.  Am thinking should I now start to look for a new car.

I got my air con repaired at Meng Joo @ AMK Industrial Park 2. You could try getting calling the workshop, and getting a quote.

hardly compressor can find second hand and also minimally starting price could be from $400 onwards.

 

knowing the price of a replacement compressor can help you to decide whether to scrap and buy a new car, rent a replacement car or go ahead with repairs.
