Hi all.....

i will be touring Perth this coming June, basically following the route that many has covered in this thread.

One question - we will be going straight from Perth to Albany via Albany Highway (highway no. 30), any interesting place to stop over along the highway or it is nothing at all (like NSHW)?

we will be staying at Lily Dutch Windmill on the first night then proceed to Albany town for 2nd night.

The journey from Perth to Albany one way about 408KM if I remember correctly. I guess the nearest attraction is Mt Baker. I try to search my past itenery see where I visited along the way. Basically I took the route from Perth - Burnbery - margaret River - Permberton - Wadpole - Denmark - Albany- Perth.

If from Perth to Albany direct I remember somewhere in between this Bridgetown.

Thanks for the input.

i am doing the other way round... Perth to Albany then up Margaret River.....

Heard of the Bridgetown, will look for that. Saw there are few lakes along Great Southern Highway (highway 120)

Planning another trip to WA / Perth this Jun. My 4th one. Will be there for 8 days, this time with another family. There's 4 adults, 5 kids & 1 infant. Planning to chill out there. Meaning visit 1 place a day, eat, drink & sleep like the Aussies...

First of all any reasonable holiday home / apartment in or around Perth big enough to house us?? Need at least 3 rooms. Otherwise, we'll have to opt for 2 units?

Got the accommodation settled. Now looking for car rental. Pick up & drop off at air port. Any suggestions other than the usual companies? Used M2000 for my previous trips but looks like they have changed name or management...

Back from hols in perth... 9 days just zoomed by. Rented from Avis at AUD$800 for 8 days including excess reduction & baby seat rental. Opted for I45 but they gave me a 3.5L V6 Holden SV6. Lots of pull but engine is not very refined. Huge boot space!! Overall nothing to complain about.
