err.... you brought in the machine from Thailand already??

Yep. I love the cooling, extraction, and stir, beans cooled within 5mins of release into pan.

I had to change all profiles to suit this machine, +- 30C.

Mine is a semi auto espresso machine, has its limitation. But I think I pull it for about 30 secs using 10gm of powder, perhaps the time is not right.

no need to be so anal, watch grind size, tamper pressure then extract 25secs. Mine is also a semi auto. Lever Machine.

Wow, your set up is [thumbsup] . Is it a drum roasting machine?

And the creama looks delicious.

Yes, drum roasting, min batch is 500g, max 4kg which rarely happens. -_-

The grind already produces the aroma, the cream is nice and thick, I over extract a bit to 28 secs. grind on the Mazza is set for PNG at "12", espresso fine. Tamp and polish off, extract. If you're asking, I use a RB Tamper. Plain Flat.

Mine is a beginner set up , using a self tampering espresso machine so dont have any tamper and for mine grinder its the one that was recommended by you, Krups GVX-2.

During pulling, I observed that there is "rat tail" and after pulling the grind looks dry, not waterly, so I presume my grind is ok.

The Krups grinder can do grind settings. Play around, different beans, different grind size.

Rats tail, depends on all mentioned factors, but I guess if you're happy with the taste, then leave it be.

I'm always searching to get the perfect shot, mine is not only a double port, nor single pot, I do a bottomless

triple shot basket. The taste is heavenly. -_- Note the last pic on extraction. [:)]

Yup, this is what I am doing, found that if I grind Sumatra finer, taste would be better but take lots longer for the pull, machine boh lak.

But for ethiopian djimmah, the beans are much smaller, could not grind finer, otherwise my portafilter kena stuck.

Care to elaborate what is double port, single port and bottomless. Yah, your last picture looks tempting.

Will be doing another batch tonight, been brewing coffee in office these few days and colleagues want more.

H juz wanna know anyone use before stove top expresso maker? Any comment on this particular gadget? Worth getting it?

Me...me, I have two of them, also known as Moka pot. The main problem I have is the rubber seal, otherwise pressure will not built up and coffee will not flow upwards.

The Bialetti Moka Pot? Don't buy it. Haven't you heard of Aluminium Poisoning? Grounds must be coarse, if not the grounds will

fall below, spoiling the coffee. Max is 2 cups. I have both,Moka and Espresso pots. Keep them as part of a coffee collection.

More of a manufacturing flaw, you have to secure the pot to the lower part proper if not it will leak when the water is heated up.

Rubber seal can last a long time, it's the securing part, a slight bit off to one side, and it will leak all over the stove.

Yeah that's the one i tempted to get... Thanks for shedding the light on aluminum poisoning issue. Another alternative i can think of is alessi 9090, make of only stainless steel and but damn ex. Might as well top up a bit and buy a espresso machine. [:p]

I really hate to go in depth into machine materials, boilers, etc.. but the "regular" have ALL plastic pipes, Hot water and plastic pipes? What you don't know, is best left unknown. :D
