Ithunk 1st Gear March 3, 2010 Share March 3, 2010 SINGAPORE - A 22-year-old National Serviceman pleaded guilty in a district court yesterday to pushing and using vulgarities on a senior tester at a driving centre. Eric Lim Guo Yong had gone to the Singapore Safety Driving Centre in Ang Mo Kio Street 62 on Nov 4 last year to take the basic theory test. But when he failed to produce his identity card or passport, senior tester Abdul Wahid Shariff stopped him. Lim had lost his military identity card and turned up with a temporary one. Unhappy, Lim raised his voice and demanded to take the test. When Mr Abdul Wahid, 57, asked him to leave the room, Lim hurled vulgarities at him and shoved him three times - an act captured by closed- circuit cameras. Lim only left the premises when the tester's colleagues came to help. For threatening, abusing or insulting a public servant, Lim can be jailed for up to a year or fined $5,000. For using criminal force on another person, he can be jailed up to three months and fined $1,500. The case will be mentioned again on March 5. Nolicense Turbocharged March 3, 2010 Share March 3, 2010 the temporary ID got no photo right? the tester should at least give the NSF another test date. but knowing how precious leave and days off is to NSF, this is just bad luck. been too long.. can NSF have passport? if not can use that

If not valid then what for need to issue temp ID. and I believe as the others bro point out . he must have been rather unpolite and I think he knows about the cctv camera operating in that room also. Some tester are only nice to Bu's in short skirt and show half ball only. hahahaha.....

Watwheels Supersonic March 3, 2010 Share March 3, 2010 It's not an issue of validity but for verification purpose. Common practice if you produce any sort of temporary pass, ppl would ask for your ID to verify whether or not you are an imposter. Somemore the driver is taking test. Agree. Kids nowadays...sigh Thinking back when I just got my driving licence back in early 90s, I don't remember being honk at "angrily". The most is being shown the middle finger with window wind down.

Introz Clutched March 3, 2010 Share March 3, 2010 temp card have no pictures therefore invalid for 7times i take TP, 2bx2,2a,2 then retake back 2a,2,3 ( due to too generous, give back to government ) i always see they check on ic or passport... others not valid... i think for this case is 11B or passport.. got many times people try break the rule, like cheating << other people taking the test and also people who forget to bring thier passport or ic << straight away ask to pack and "See u another day" got see those who rebel... still see them taking tp same class after 2 years
