Eugn86 3rd Gear May 18, 2010 Share May 18, 2010 Had GR90s fitted on the Merc S500... much better than the previous sets of Michelin Primacy. The steering feel improved noticeably too.

Compare with my stock A460... the tire is really more quite but handling wise... maybe due to my car.. dont really feel the diff from my previous A460... accelaration one.. think was abit slower response.... 205/60/R16 pressure ..230.. ride Lancer EX

Doktorgigi Neutral Newbie May 24, 2010 Share May 24, 2010 @amazon777: I was saying that only noise is lacking from these tyres... btw what sort of tyre pressure are ppl using? I've got mine at 235 or 240. Heavy car (odyssey )and usually quite loaded with kids etc. Comments?
Mini-itx Clutched May 25, 2010 Share May 25, 2010 I dun think changing tyres with the same profile can improve the handling.. Can actually. This is because of the difference in tyre compound. And the difference in handling can be quite big. Its just like those racing cars running on harder and softer compounds. A change to higher grip softer tyres (even though profile is exactly the same) reduces lap times.

Kelpsh 1st Gear June 14, 2010 Share June 14, 2010 Just got the GR90 last week. Din't get frm 0101 Autopoint cos find the price too high for my liking. Previous tires used Yoko DNA DB n BS AR10.. This is much better than the previous 2 esp on tire noise and comfort. Initial feel on grip seems solid too, but yet to test - no chance for sweeping highway exits, heavy rain or NS highway driving so far..

Rollagt 5th Gear June 18, 2010 Share June 18, 2010 Hi people, I managed to secure a set of GR90 this morning and had it replaced during lunch time. Am driving a 2003 Hipporolla and was using GR80 for the past 3 yrs ..Quoted $130 per pc for 195/60/R15 for the GR90s 1st feel after installation : Steering feels "lighter" and had switched off the radio to observe the difference while on the journey. Travelled from Bt batok to Shenton way covering approx. 18 km and noticed a big difference in "quiet-ness" as I drove pass "old" tarmac. ( prolly due to new tyres) Will continue to monitor after 100KM, 200KM and so on.
Famwc Neutral Newbie June 18, 2010 Share June 18, 2010 This is cut and copy from another forum, too lazy to type out the reviews again. So here goes : Another Forumer's Quote: hi Fam, I have just changed to GR 90 yesterday at $115 per piece inclusive of GST. The price quoted is for 185/65/R15, our stock configuration. The Company is Hock Thye Seng, contact person is Thomas. Address is 20 Bukit Batok Crescent #01-23/24. Telephone is 65602716. Please call 1st before going down, think they need to indent for you. If you call in the morning, maybe they can change it for you in the late afternoon, else will be the next day. Hope the info helps. regards. My Review: Hi, rang up thomas and realised he got ready stock for the GR90, have called up a few shops to ask bout tat tyre but seems like this is the only one carry that tyre with that size. So reserve the tyres with Thomas and pop by Hock Thye Seng to grab the GR90. Though i stay in bukit batok, i got difficulties finding the place as it is only one way and the building number is not properly displayed. Anyway, i managed to find it after turing 2 rounds couple with asking the security guards of nearby buildings. I would say Thomas is a very approachable person, as i am not very sure about the GR90 performance, i enquire with him and he take this time to explain to me the tyre thread, the comparison between my F1 and the GR90, the grooves that allows tracion, water dispersion, comfort, etc. I din really ask bout the price of the other tyre that he is selling, and i cannot determined whether his price is good in the market as all the other shops i called dun wanna give me a quote and jus turn me down by saying no stock. But i would say tat his service is really good and he really bother to listen and explain things to you. A very friendly and approachable person i would say. I jus wanna share my good experience with the tyre shop, i am also those cheapo kind who would call up a few shops to compare prices before deciding which one to go to, have tried P.Heng before but was quite turn off by the service thought the price is really cheap. I would say Thomas really make my day and i feel it is money well spent. Will update on the review of the tyre after trying it out. Thanks to -------- for the intro :)
