My new ride comes together with System 6. So far, one month past, still as good as new :D

Anyone else with more experiences to share for System 6 paint protection?

depends on what you mean by protection.

most polish, wax etc do give some protection.

But don't expect them to protect against swirls, chips, water marks etc

It's a losing game ($ and effort) trying to keep the car's paint condition as good as the day it was collected.

Given a long enough time, even with polishes, bird s--t, tree sap can eat into the paint. I say its about 6-8 hours in the hot sun.

Ditto for water marks unless you dry your car each time it gets wet.

I finally decide not to pay a few hundred to 'protect' my car.

Not worth it considering one is likely to change car within 5 yrs.

And it's unlikely to be well 'protected'

if driving for 10 yrs, a fresh paint is probably a cheaper option.

Just DIY good enough. If not, frequent washes.

Jus to share...

Fren of mine oso took paint protection(not sure which one) for his new ride..into 3rd month car not smooth..

now goin back to them for advise.

If u ask me,i will settle for DIY.

Weekly wash/maint and 6-weekly thorough cleaning.tats my regime.

however for defects removal i will look for our inhouse groomers.

IMHO.

Does Tuff-coat(System 6)really help keep new paintwork protected & shining?

Comments welcome please! [:(]

Had it on my then new car 4 years ago.

Like one bro shared, it does not exempt your paintwork from scratches, swirl marks and exposure to the sun and environment.

the best protection is whenever possible park your car in the shade, away from trees (bird shXt) and high wind areas

polish car with reasonable quality wax and avoid petrol station automated car wash where the brushes will certainly leave marks sooner or later

their water is recycle

it is all part and parcel of owning a car

unless you are super rich then have an AHmad to help

my maid left more markings on the car than needed

system 6 only works for a few weeks. they will tell you to buy their special shampoo to maintain the shine etc.....all salesman talk.

it gives you the shiok feeling for about 3 weeks...after that you will feel $$ is better spent on other things.

the same goes for other PPS.

does the tuff coat also help prevent rusting?

Not that I know of....

Best way is still preventive and regular maintenance of your car.

Get the right detailing products.

We have a good detailer in this forum who is very nice and willing to share his knowledge and experience.
