Alpine IDA-X305 VERY difficult to find

i went to alpine-asia.com/singapore and found Wo Kee Hong is distributor, then from there, its list of dealers. All dealers don't carry IDA-X305 stock.

 

even though ida-x305 MSRP is US$350, websites from USA, AU, HK, etc put it at around US$220-250. That is about S$350.

• one dealer quote me ridiculous price, i can see he wants to make 42% profit.
• one dealer, even though listed as authorized dealer, quote me for an export set. I say eh?, I want warranty set, she say don't have.
• one dealer, call his supplier. cannot reach, so can't quote me. instead he push me his Kenwood and Sony. also stress that market wants cheap ($1xx, $2xx) 1DIN and expensive ($700 & up) 2DIN LCD (can play DVD kind), no one wants a not-cheap 1DIN HU.
• three or four dealers say dun carry stock, need to check with supplier for pricing. they never follow through.

i am so tempted to call up Wo Kee Hong, and ask wth is going on.
