Throttle2 Supersonic February 16, 2010 Share February 16, 2010 Toyota 1339 Kia 671 Hyundai 626 Honda 516 Mercedes Benz 512 Nissan 399 Volkswagen 397 Audi 250 Subaru 212 Chevrolet 200 BMW 199 Mitsubishi 182 Mazda 170 Suzuki 118 Audi's aggressive marketing is showing result. It sold 250 vs BMW's 199 only. Mercedes is still way ahead with 512. VW is also doing very well, just 2 short of Nissan's 399. Toyota remains the people's choice. Kia is now No2! hurray thank goodness. the less BMWs sold , the better.
Throttle2 Supersonic February 16, 2010 Share February 16, 2010 yeah i think it's the advertising/marketing.. see how much they put into ST? they have their own cover in a separate section every Saturday right? they've also engaged alot of PR and Media work, as part of building their name and brand up. actually it's simple. the price is pretty damn good for what it is. If I were considering a 320i, i would probably end up buying an A4. and the S5 is barely $250k, one of the cheapest amongst the premium continentals comparables. PaiKia-Lee 1st Gear February 16, 2010 Share February 16, 2010 Toyota 1339 wheres lexus and volvo? in my house there are at least 10 lexus and 20 volvos.. a few audis only.. wonder how they fare. but anyway Audi should be beating mercs really soon. I am split for choice for the A5 sportback, coupe and cabrio the whole of this year..price is quite cheap also given its good engine and styling. Viceroymenthol 6th Gear February 17, 2010 Share February 17, 2010 you all very funny does it matter to you personally if audi overtakes BMW in sales? are you AD sales exec? spare parts supplier? let me tell you that the conti AD or the aftermarket conti workshops do not operate like Jap or Korean workshops. whether small or big number of the conti marque in singapore, spare parts and labour are just as EXPENSIVE, ie don't expect them to give discount just because there are more audi/BMW on the road. like what someone said: "IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO DRIVE AUDI, PLEASE BUY OTHER BRAND" ↡ Advertisement
