Looking for hardcore F1 fans

Hi all,

I know this is the General Car Discussion section and there is a designated Motorsports section.

However, the thread I posted there (http://www.mycarforum.com/index.php?showtopic=2648680&st=0&gopid=3035930entry3035930) didn't seem to attract much responses and so I decided to post it here instead.

Basically, I'm looking for hardcore enthusiastic fans of Formula 1. Anyone who can't miss a race, follows season after season, decorates his/her room with all these memorabilia (can be general F1, particular team or driver) etc. etc.

Know of anyone who's like that? Let me know please? Thank youuuuu..!

Is a Schumy fan considered a F1 fan too?

Miss a race on TV or physically attending the race at each circuit?

I collect Schumy's 1:18 diecast, and books about him...

Anyway Happy, Peaceful and Prosperous Year of the Tiger!!!

hi TS ,

maybe i can be considered to be a 'little' hard core as i have been following F1 since 1987 when the williams honda of mansell and piquet dominated that season . The 1998 season was a very boring season with the mclarens winning 15 out of 16 races. Back then , live races were screened free on RTM 1.

ok fast forwarding a bit to the 90s and 2000s , i lost quite a bit of interest when there wasnt any free channels airing live races and also schumi kept winning in the ferrari which was really a bore.

But the interest came back again when SG hosted the F1. have attended both 2008 and 2009 races, enjoyed every bit of it coz i can recognise all the drivers and teams on the grid .

as for memorabilia , i have got a toyota cap autographed by glock and trulli . a photo taken with trulli ( oh well not one of the star drivers but hey hes still quite good ) .

past fave drivers - Mansell , hakkinen, alesi , ivan capelli , gerhard berger

curent fave drivers - kobayashi , alonso , glock

Yep, Schumi fan is an F1 fan. Do you have practically a shrine of him? Like his posters all over your room, cushions, books, tshirts etc.?

i really like to root for the underdogs than the likes of shumi and co. this year my eyes are on kobayashi. Based on wad we saw at the last 2 GPs , this guy's got BALLS man.

but rewinding back to 1990 when Jean alesi made his debut in the Tyrell , was the US GP i think , he hounded senna and overtook him . everyone saw a star in him but unfortunately , he slipped to being an also ran. hope kobayashi can be somewhat different :D

Go Koba!

its not about BALLS....kobayashi is hot prospect....he is a careful but fast driver....and its not a fluke he got those results....but if u look at this earlier career...he was not too impressive....but yea he is really the surprise of last season....

so he is steadily improving....but then again if u look at fernando alonso...hes in a different league...he already the fastest in the first day of testing the ferrari f10...so alonso winning with ferrari this season is a safe bet...
