Shull Turbocharged February 9, 2010 Share February 9, 2010 5 subjects 18..important is, how well he did in his physics and maths(both E and A)?? Cos engineering, maths very important, and up to a certain degree..physics.. so if these subjects is not his best, i suggest appeal to other less maths/physics intensive one... I read an article written by the ex-dean of NUS's Faculty of Engineering. He state that Engineering degrees are one of the most versatile degrees around. Finance people love engineers because of their systematic approach to problem solving. In another words, engineering graduates can work in finance environment, but finance people cannot work in engineering environment..

Babyt 4th Gear February 10, 2010 Share February 10, 2010 business job ez mah. need alot of soft skills and all those procedures can be learnt. no need technical skills. ask an IT guy to do business is easier than asking a business guy to do IT.....business can be taught and learnt from experience and thru mentoring...IT is a skill that needs to be trained. Yes I have a number of engineering trained friends...who have left engineering because they decided they hate it. As for are they doing better now....it's a case by case basis. And I have a number of friends...who used to be so proud during NUS days....going around telling people they are from ENG fac....hehehe right.....and I am this stupid guy from Arts Fac that is currently making much more $$$ than them :P By the way the things I do, give it to an engineering guy and he will still be lost after 3 years :P Unless your definition of business job is ermmm..opening fishball noodle international hawker store? Tongue in cheek....chill!
