Fine sandpaper, primer, paint, clearcoat, then wax. I think its best to let a bodyshop do it.

i have one tiny rust spot on my bonnet as well. the spraypaint workshop i went to said it's best to spray the entire bonnet because there's no way to fix that tiny spot nice nice. not sure how true that was, so i decided against fixing it.

been a few weeks now, the spot is the same size. anyway if rust spreads, it will spread underneath the paint. you won't see it.

Get a rust converter and just dab it on the rust.

It will become black and stop rusting.

You can either leave it alone or put some touch-up paint over it to save money going for respray.

Look for homefix diy or some hardware shop.

Basically, it is some sort of tannic acid and turn the rust into a black substance.

After that you can sand a bit and touch up with paint or just leave it alone.

Advisable to seek a professional or workshop to do touch up for you....If you don't touch up properly, it might look worse than your rust.
