Dear Brothers and sisters..

please do not try to rent out or lease out your own vehicle.. Ur licence will be on risk. unless u got the special insurance. Avoid unnessary trouble... not worth it for tat sum of $$... [:/]

He is not rich that's why he no money to sell off cos need to top up finance 10K and lay off still need pay installment. Brave or not I wouldn't know. [:p]

If he has bought the car brand new 3 yrs ago even on $0 downpayment/10yrs loan etc, and he faithfully paid instalment till now. His car would most properly had broke even now. My colleague Latio bought brand new at $52K 3.5 yrs ago, $0 downpayment/ 10yrs full loan/2.85%. Current outstanding loan is $39K. He managed to get rid of the car last week at breakeven price to a direct buyer due to change in priority/family commitment and go back to public transport. He would have gotten a better price last month if not for the COE drop.

If accident involved 3rd party injury/casualty, the insurer may absolve of it's liability, he will be in deep s--t. Not worth the $850. Think thrice. Suzuki Jimny may not be a sought after model, but no harm spend $38 to post in sgcarmart.

Agree; accident and the insurers will repudiate liability; you will be personally liable for the property damage claim (for the other car); and if there are injury claims, the insurers will pay and recover from you personally. Please do not rent out your car!

I guess for most people if they have a choice they will not do such risky thing. Spare a tot for them and don't call them names.
