Motor Image Racing Team Exits Asia Pacific Rally Championship on a High Note

 

Singapore - Motor Image Racing Team (MIRT), sponsored by Motor Image Enterprises, will no longer participate in the Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) after finishing the 2009 season, ending its decorated three-year association with the rally.

at the end of the day ppl will still prefer F1....becos they are the fastest vehicles....rallying is not bad also...like negotiating tracks....but F1 is more about skill and taking on the kerbs and harpins and kerbs.....n hit speeds of close to 300 plus km...you dun see that in rallying...

well i think it's v expensive for Motor Image to sustain this and why not quit whilst on a high? at least can look back and say "we were three-time champions!"

subaru already has a name for itself in the rally world... even though it does not compete in wrc anymore... motor image, the local distributor should spend more of its money into customer service in my opinion...

i would say the company has no plan to commit in the event in long run, their purpose is to raise the branding of their company. once that business objective has achieved, they will pull the plug off. Is all abt business and top/bottom line. motorsport is a sport not business.
