Mixing 2T into petrol tank??

The rotary engines(Mazda RX series) cannot take leaded fuel.

Last time SG only have leaded fuel so the RX owners use lower RON fuel(Less lead) but add octane booster.

The main problem is the tip of the rotor which wil wear out very fast due to the lead.

Now there is no prob cos we have unleaded petrol.

wah bro... you used to drive an RX-7? hasvana? you know a lot about rotary engines yah.... or you have a helicopter also? ^_^

B careful cos too much oil wil make the petrol harder to burn which cud actually lead to loss of power.

U can add just a bit but dont get carried away. :excl:

Can someone check my maths, if i want 500:1 ratio. How much ml should i pour into my petrol tank? i normally pump close to 40L.

1L/500 = 2ml

40L = 80ml

I work out to be 80ml, correct bo?

something like that ah

much more easier to calculate and see clearer the calcualation

500 : 1 is

500ml : 1ml

so 40000ml ( 40L ) : 80ml

if u use in L mode

500L : 1L

40L : 0.08L ( 80ml )

hehe

:D

if you put 80ml 2T to 40l petrolit is going to be overkill

there's 1 picnic putting 1ml 2T to 1l petrol

saw a dramatic save in fc

do a google search for 2t with car

like for me 30l and below is 5ml, more than that will be 10ml

what i want is a slight lubrication

too much of it can choke your engine

use wrong type of 2T will have a lot of carbon built up due to inferior 2T

my friends use to laugh at me for putting 2T

but now i've seen them put in some 2T after they do their own testing

No lah. I never owned a Rotary but had a couple of frens who owned it.

That time was RX3, Cannot touch it on the straights. Damm fast once the speed picks up.

Helicopter? I got toy only. [laugh]

u can put engine oil in the tank if do not want to use 2T

but engine oil is harder to burn than 2T

what we want is lub plus easier to burn off

no way im going put engine oil

too thick and too many carbon residue

No lah, just being curious when i hear people saying that. Not intended to try actually...so, what is the amount that is consider safe? 1 part of 2T to 100 part of petrol??

I used 2T oil at 1:1000 ratio. Around 50ml for 50 L tank. First, I tried with full synthetic 2T, then I tried TC-W3 Pennzoil Marine. I find the Pennzoil much better as it makes the engine more "silky smooth".

Now, I would probably just use Redline SI-1, since it is a fuel system cleaner and also UCL in one bottle.

Long time ago, I used Redex in my motorbike with the same silky smooth result, but I find it too expensive so I stopped using.

Neutral Newbie

i know some taxi drivers do add 2t to their desiel driven taxi... my dad is one of them.. he say smoother drive and better FC..

so bro, care to share what kind of significant improvement after using the 2T in your car? ride? better FC? any problem to your Cat converter, O2 sensor & etc?

2T just makes your engine extremely smooth. The effect is very obvious. However, you must be careful not to put too much. Coz I took out the spark plug before at one time and they were a bit "wet".

I swap the plugs and everything was back to normal.

Right now, I prefer to use Redline SI-1. Since it's 2-in-1 purpose and replaced the 2T.

I have no problem with cat or o2, as yet. [laugh]

As for fc, I can't really say there's any improvement.

I use 2T or UCL more for the lubricant properties.

Now, there's another oil call Marvel Mystery Oil. This one I haven't tried yet.

If you want to use 2T, you must go for the full synthetic. At least they are low-ash and will not cause any problem with plugs or valve.

The best would be TC-W3.

bro, wats TC-W3 & UCL? after getting so much feedback, i might wanna try adding some 2T at the ratio of 1:1000 when i chiong NSHW...my vios fuel tank cap is 45L, at 1:1000 ratio. i should mix around 45ml/ full tank?

TC-W3 is the NMMA standard for 2T oil. It's actually for marine application and is ashless.

http://www.nmma.org/certification/programs/oils/

http://www.nmma.org/certification/programs....asp?y=TCW32008

If you go JB, you can pick up Pennzoil marine 2T at a motorbike shop there.

UCL is just Upper Cylinder Lub which many oil try to do.

I suspect Shell Fuelsave also contains some of it, if you read their marketing brochure carefully.

My tank is also 45L, so I put about 50ml. I measure it with a small cough medicine bottle. [laugh]
