Hi bros, would anyone know if it is possible to open a ringgit account? Am thinking of retiring in Malaysia next time, so thought should do some planning now. Thanks in advance.

probably shouldnt be a problem..

 

i got an off shore acct in HK with citibank... my banker give that guy a call and he flew in from HK to settle paperwork with me... settled in less than a week.

 

probably the same with malaysia... ask your banker or RM? it shouldn't be an issue if your bank as a presence in MY

Thanks all bros.

 

I dun really have that much to put in right now, but was thinking of converting some savings into ringgit when the exchange rate is good and then buy a house there.

 

I prob can't afford to pay full sum and have to at least take a small loan.
