a very sad day today, just handed over my Bmw e93 convertible for a lexus is250.

after a 1 year 9 months with 60,000km of pure enjoyment

the interior of the car is very much like a posh japanese restaurant. gear changes are very smooth, Acceleration is reasonable. interior fitting are consider world class. decent FC. cabin is quiet can even hear a mouse fart.

i need the quietness so that my family can travel in peace

cant corner as good. sitting position and car setting just not as conducive to make you concentrate on driving. the backside of the car just dont talk to you , it wont tell you that hey the rear is going out of control.

anyway see my new bmw in 5 years time when my kids are more grown up. in the mean time i have many KM to drive and fetch my kids in the new lexus [bigcry][bigcry][bigcry][bigcry]

quite a loss for your e93 huh.~

now selling new for $224,800.

Lexus bought at $140k should be reasonable based on current pricing.

1yr and 9mths... you should carry another ride instead of selling it off though.

Anyway, Lexus is also a good ride.

I am sure you will like the quietest ride ever.

I test drive IS250 before and the car is so quiet that I don't even know that I had started the engine.

I pressed the "Start" button again and feel so pai seh when the sales person said, "You already started the engine".

Enjoy your smooth ride!~ :)

Just curious - TS, why didnt uu pick the Alfa 159? Or the previous-gen Legacy GT?

Sat at the Legacy GT before... surprisingly quiet, though I'm sure that the Lexy would be quieter.

they are all very different cars altogether.

i don't suppose u'll buy an alfa for family needs?

Legacy GT is just too bengish for person of his stature

no no no , it the airbags that won me over. i have this Philosophy. it is not the car that is beng, but the driver.

i just need a quiet car where my babies can sleep throughout the journey and air bags to protect them.
