See if there is any mention in your handbook on mileage or time when u need to change it.

Most jap cars is abt 80-90K km.

U can ask your ws to just do the drain & fill when u get your car serviced next time. Usually u wil get abt 3-4 lit out.

I do that every 10K km service & its more than sufficient.

If u want to do the flush, wait till abt 60K km & do a complete flush. Usually it takes about 18 lit for this but can last another 60K km till u need to do another flush.

Some prefer the drain & fill & some prefer the flush method. Its up to u really.

One more thing is if yours is the normal autobox or the CVT belt type?

My advice above is more for the normal autobox. CVT type I am not very sure. Maybe u can check what the agent has to say? But dont b too worried cos they might try to frighten u & get u to come down & do a through service just to earn your $$$. Always get several opinions b4 u decide.

jap/korean cars usually replace ATF at major servicing, which is at 40K km. Refer to your user manual for the accurate one.

Neutral Newbie

Either do it at 40,000km or 2years.

Understand OPC mileage normally are lower than normal plate ones.

Due to our climate, oxidation happens faster so changing the oil earlier is ok.

Changing more often is always better for the car but bad for your pocket.

I either follow the handbook or change according to my pocket but I dont go too much over what is recommended.

My ATF, the handbook says no need to change. Just top-up but I drained at 50K km & the ATF was really very dark & looked worn out. I then did a regular drain & fill with Toyota type IV (mineral ATF) till I got it red again & now just do a drain & fill every 10K km whan I get the usual oil change/service. It seems to b working well like that as the shifting is nice & smooth.

Next service I wil go back to using RP synthetic ATF but drain & fill every 20K km only.

Example is timing belt. The handbook says replace at 60K km but * denotes for "Extreme" conditions eg: a lot of slow driving or long idleing like taxi, police car, etc.

So I changed at 70K km without any problems. But when I changed, it was the full Monty incl all belts, tensioner, bearings, seals & water pump.

My mech said it was worn but can still b used summore.

Next time I wil drag to 80K km b4 I change & see how.

My Corona, the handbook said 90K km for extreme usage & normal usage no need to change. Now this I dont really ustand? But I did see somewhere that it sud b changed at 150K km for normal usage, so I followed that.
