I was using VX 5w30 for about 5k mileage and changed to X-gold 5w30.

vx 5w30 just like all fresh oil is smooth initially. but after about 2k mileage can feel engine a little rough.

x-gold looks like its going to be same as vx.

Do u notice that x-gold bottle is the same as vx as well?

i suspect they are the same oil inside.

alot of oils in the market buy their base oils from big players...

example i have special additives i add to a base oil i buy from say Mobil1... and do a blend and call it Ken's Lube fully syn 5W/40... i can put what ever claims on the label and i sell it...

k wen i drop by Giant or suntec i sms you...

YO Bro Ken :D

also can, better if you buy for me.

may i ask if those extended engine oil such as VX, XY, ABC bla bla. in general, cheaper engine oil.

can it last me 10k before i go for next service?

currently i using amsoil extended engine oil, which i changed every 15k.

so far so good. after a year or so, engine oil don't degrade much and i'm getting 14/L easily.

tats what i meant... i buy for you if i go there ^_^

oil change interval, to me depends on driving style... i have an open pod so my mind tells me that my oil gets dirtier faster... haha...

how good expensive an oil, unless TC or high com car, to me a BB car wont benefit much from an expensive oil

and bro... stop hao lian you got 14km/L ok... u how many cc?... i dont have such good FC... but i full throttle you smell my smoke ah... [laugh] ...

the VX 5W/40 was thinner then usual... so i gues sthe 5W/30 is even thinner...

if your engine was 'rough', but i think FC should have been better?
