i think the "new" car trade could be in a bloodbath.

 

it either shows they had plenty of margin, or they are desperately trying to grab as much share as they can, while they can.

 

selling cars is really a one kind industry in singapore. imagine the government say this month only can sell 10000 bowls of meepok in the whole of singapore. next month only 80000. if you wanna buy meepok, must get certificate from chenghoo first. i think if i were meepok seller, i would try to buy many many certificate to sell. If not next few month, i can go and eat grass already. No?

I just hope they are not over-optimistic

I believe most are sensible and know what they are doing. Buying a car is not a small decision for most s'porean....they have probably think it over many times and spending nights working out their budget.
