if team is still performing well, sure must compensate lah....

but this case....no need to talk too much liao...

 

The problem i believe is that there is no KPI in his contract. So good or bad he have to be compensated unless by mutual agreement.

in his contract, if kenna terminated must pay him 20million.

 

sometimes I wonder why would anyone offer such kind contractual terms to an employee which is essentially a lose lose situation for the employer. it is just so spastic in footballing world that such contract exist.

personally i think its a find contractual terms. Afterall, most time out, a poor performance does not neccessary mean that the manager is not good. its just a temporary loss of form.

Not that i want to bring out pass manager record. But SAF was also in this position when he first started out. 1 season is challenging, the next season struggling in mid table. so does Wenger. This type of contract ensure that the manager is given ample time to right the wrong.

I believe RB has been given a lot of "ample time" to build his team and challenge for honours.

If let's say the min target set in the contract is 4th, and he was still sacked when Pool finished 4th, then he would well deserve the compensation...but not when contract is set with no KPI that as long as he is sacked he is entitled to compensation in millions no matter wat sort of position Liverpool finishes in..this is ridiculous...If I were the boss of any epl club, I will nvr allow a contract to be drawn up in this manner and gets offered to any manager...there has to be a min target being agreed with by both parties...

Maybe for RB's contract, his KPI is to keep the club at 4th place and every year he does so, he is safe and a certain amount of money is given to him from the Board at the end of the season to "strengthen" his team for the next season.

if u look at their starting line ups week in week out, take away the likes of gerrard and torres, most of them will struggle to make the 1st team of the top 10 clubs. the rafa has clearly lost it.
