MOB MANNING PERIOD

just to ask the above ya.......if during my mobmanning period which i had acknowledged, i decide to drive up JB only ya is it allowed and as long i can come back within the time frame given.........i heard some people say no need ya??

actually i even went overseas for a few days during mob manning period, never kanna any warning, if kanna recall just show them your passport tat u are overses during this period.

actually all my recall during my reervists time always inform well in advance, the other mob manning we know sure will not recall thus you can do anything you want

As far as I know if you notify mindef that you are going overseas via website or phone, your unit is not notified as well. That's how "fantastic" the system runs. You have to fax or call up your unit to notify them as well. And knowing how your unit's "fantastic" admin can get, better keep a black & white to prove that you have notify them eg. journal of the fax document, take down rank & name of whoever you had contacted.

 

Becoz of this I believe nobody bothers anymore coz of how tedious it is just to let them know you are not in sgp.

You need to call up your unit to tell them you would be overseas during the manning period. Don't worry, they can't stop you as it is your right to travel... just make sure you inform them.

No problem lah, 2 of my best buddies always arrange to go Batam everytime they kanna silent mob. As long as you passport got chopped , shouldn't be a problem.

No problem. My unit has about 6 months manning period summore alternate months. But I still go road trips/overseas.

 

Just remember to update overseas status that you have peace of mind.

I believe if >24hrs, you must inform the unit.

 

Also if <24hrs but on the weekends, it would be best to let your unit know

i called the clerk, clerk said will inform rsm, later he call back said OK to go...but no email or anything to prove his word...wat if they c--k up say i never inform? anyway i just go ahead.

fyi, clerk all nsf... so in order to cover their a*s, if anyting cork up they will say u nv inform them..

you need to re phrase your qns properly. the rest of them are not answering your question at all.

 

are you saying, you go JB, then while in JB, you get activated and you quickly come back and report within the NTM timing. Yes, if you can come back in time, you can go ahead to JB.

 

if you are saying going to JB and NOT report back when get activated, you got to ask permission from your unit. either directly or thru ns.sg web.

Let me rephrase, I received a mob manning notice in december a certain period. then lets say i need to go JB DURING THIS MOB MANNING PERIOD, is it allowed??
