hdb upgrade mail box so that only postman with master key can put letters into the mail box

 

 

NOW

direct mailers - place flyers on door - litter all over corriders

junk mails in the letter box delivered by Singapore POST

I realised that SingPost is smarter than i think, they have literally cornered the junk mail market at our expense

we indirectly paid for the upgrade of the letter box

wrote to SingPost - no reply so far

 

please offer constructive suggestions

im also irritated by these junk flyers placed on my metal door.

once i opened the door, fly all over the corridor.

i hope there will be something can be done.

You should blame those direct marketing companies. not Singpost.

you miss the point

 

one, the "junk mail proof" mail box is no longer what it meant to be because SingPost has been sending junk mails from these marketing companies

two, if HDB can provide some notice board open to public or something, the household junk mails may be reduced and also there would be less litter around

I had wrote to SingPost and this is the reply from them,

 

" The flyers that are placed in your letter box so as to defray the operational cost"

 

So they are defraying their operational cost at our expense!

There's a Return Mail box in my block.

I just put the junk mail distributed by SingPost back to them.

 

As far as I'm concerned, junk mails are rejected by me, so it goes back to them.

When ur door left open when u r in the living hall, those flyers distributor just throw the paper in as if my house is a rubbish bin :angry:

Yeah hate it!!! every time i go home.. or every time i open the door.. it's all these junks all over the floor.. the door.. My main door grille doesnt have much gap for these people to stuff.. so they just throw into the grille.. onto the floor.. Nw as long i go out in the morning i have to do area cleaning.. whenever i come back i have to do area cleaning!

When ur door left open when u r in the living hall, those flyers distributor just throw the paper in as if my house is a rubbish bin :angry:

 

Apart from creating a mess, flyers dumped at the metal gate/ front door also poses a security threat because if the family has gone for 2 weeks holiday, the amount of junk flyers accumulated is a sure giveaway that the house owner is not around...... almost like an open invitation to thieves and burglars..... :angry:

Now these people even more good life.. We got new lifts at every staircase.. So they can take to top floor.. throw the papers.. take to the floor below.. throw the papers.. no need to take the stairs anymore..

I also hate those flyers pasted on your windscreen..... especially during raining months. Once I just left my car at an open-air carpark and then the blardy flyer kena stuck onto my windscreen coz it had rained and then the sun came out so I had a hard time trying to scrape the flyer off the glass.....

hahahaah it just happedned to me last week! it was placed at night.. and rained at night.. i didnt wake up till almost noon.. morning the sun came out.. and by 11am was scorchin hot.. it all dried n got stuck.. i had to peel.. all the debris!! I didnt manage to remove all.. some hv to scrapped off.. Ended up went to manual car wash the next day..

That day just saw a grp came.. took photos of fire hazard or what they deemed to be fire hazard.. when some stuff pp placed outside their house nvr even block passageway..
