Peaceracer 1st Gear January 7, 2010 Share January 7, 2010 I went to my friend's bday once and she catered for it. Price per head was abt $15 i think. Not too bad, got grilled chicken, salad, fish fillet, potato salad, mash potato. Something like tat, cant rem the full stuff. On the whole is not too bad, a pleasant change from the usual stuff. Babyt 4th Gear January 7, 2010 Share January 7, 2010 some said when ordering catering, dont over-subscribed however ther are some said over-subscribed by 5% is better than not enough food.
Ultramega 1st Gear January 7, 2010 Share January 7, 2010 Don't display all the food at once. Keep a few trays of popular dishes somewhere first and when food level is low, take out to replenish. When ppl see food level low, they will tend to take more of the less popular items to eat. It is key that you keep trays of popular dishes else no point. This way u will have "balance", eg, u are less likely to have lots of fries/rice with no meat dishes in the middle of the party (which is often perceived as food not enough). Jus felt that its more value for $$. if there is an aston catering, i would recommand it highly. Jus now wanted to eat at astons @ cathay but had to reluctantly forgo it as the queue was dam long. Probably gotta q for 2 hours...Tat says alot abt Astons. =)
Mechwarrior Neutral Newbie January 8, 2010 Share January 8, 2010 I visit the Astons near my house once every few weeks( cos nearby) and Botak Jones once every 2/3 months. I like Aston's chicken much better than Botaks, but I prefer the Botak's Beef anytime.
Ken4555 1st Gear January 9, 2010 Author Share January 9, 2010 huh... i always thought most ppl say that burgers and fish, botak wins.... aston is better at steaks... hmmmm... well to me food is one thing... service is equally important as it will determind my level of enjoyment at the plc... with regards to food, i would like to eat my meal when i am VERY hungry... makes it so much more enjoyable....
