I dun think cordless vacuum cleaner suitable, after using Black & Decker rechargeable unit many yrs ago. - very little suction, battery flat before can finish completely vacuum car. - therefore, doubt can do good job on sofa, aircon cleaning. - since the motor is small power, dun think can provide with HEPA filter. - suggest to look for vacuum cleaner that plug-in car socket. Look for wet & dry type [usually look like a small cylinder/pail with removable top cover]. Can find this in Giant, Mustafa, Carrefour, Tesco JB, Jusco JB. Should be about S$20-S$30, can't remember how much I bought 3yrs back. - have to run engine when using, otherwise may drain car battery.

Adrianli Hypersonic January 5, 2010 Share January 5, 2010 I have a Black & Decker wet/dry one. When new, it sucks really well. Soon the batt life depletes, sucking power gone. Send in for replacement of battery, it cost the same as a new unit!!! I took it back and plug in my own battery. It was powerful again but after using 5 times, the motor up lorry. Now thinking whether to change the motor.
Ruzhyo Clutched January 5, 2010 Share January 5, 2010 (edited) I have the Black and decker 12V cord version. Not very strong. Went and buy Karcher SE4001 last week. Just used in on the fabric seats of my car. GREAT! 1st use the 'turbo' fabric cleaner attachment to brush and beat out the dust. Spray on cleaning solution and leave on for 5 mins, then suck it dry. Cleaner then new! See the black black water sucked out then know how dirty the seats are. $$ well spend. Edited January 5, 2010 by Ruzhyo
Wbucket Clutched January 5, 2010 Share January 5, 2010 Many bros have mentioned, if you want a good vaccum cleaner, then you can't get a cordless one. I had a cordless one few years back. It serve me for 3-4years before the charger die. Cost around 40 that time, so think it is a good deal. Forgot brand liao. Anyway, it can go at about full power for 10mins, die off in about 3-5mins. During the first 10mins, I can finish 1 room, air-con, ledges, bed, sofa, tables, cabinet, wardrobe, floor. Fully charge can also finish my whole small little car, including boot. Overall I am happy with it, but haven't been able to find 1 that can replace that. Saw 1 decent suction 1, Philip, but cost 100++. So don't think it is worth it. Go around best denki, they should have display units for you to try its suction. As for HEPA filter, don't really know about it.
