Where can I get sunglasses with UV protection, to protect the eyes after cataract operation? The sunglasses should be large enough to cover the eyes. Understand that not all sunglasses provide UV protection. Also what is the cost? Thks in advance.

the best sunglasses with UV protection is the one that has the Australian Certification. It's a code number, a standard set by Australia.

FYI, Australia is the only country in the world that demands all sunglasses made or sold in Australia to be certified by them for 100% UV protection.

If the sunglasses doesnt have this certification, its not 100% UV protection.

Sunglasses can expensive or cheap... it doesnt matter actually. A $10 sunglass can give you the same level of protection as $500 brand.

So you either hunt for one in SG that is Aust certified or ask someone u know in Australia to get one.

any brand can claim to have UV protection. 99% or whatever.... but how true is it?

u need to test the UV protection using a UV testing device
