Less check car at 1am and leave at 4.30am on saturday morning. Realised passenger door window got smashed and all my items are stolen. Wiring are all cut off...

So all pls be careful when you are there. Thought its a safe place but haiizz...

thanks for sharing. and sorry for your plight.

how much did all the stuff that they stole cost? makes me wonder why didn't they just take the car too....

i'm most afraid of them taking the car when i drive up. haha... coz i leave nothing in the car.

Bro... sorry to hear about your loss but it is already known that those Defi meters, Vafc, Safc and turbo timers are also prime targets. Best to not display them if possible. By the way, why did you leave your GPS in the car? Its like having a sign board that says 80% discount sales to women.

i see before 2 indian using screwdriver trying to do something to the car door at meleka outside the shopping area parking, Somemore i was just in front of them and they just contiune doing. Just depend on your luck and don't put any expensive items which can view from outside the car.

sound scary. just back from melaka during christmas. i think i parked my car at the same place twice and 2-3 hours for each during daytime. during night i parked my car at hotel carpark (no security). however my car does not have any fancy things.

once i had a dinner at a very ulu place near A'Famosa, beside a malay village. it was a very common malay countryside restaurant. cheap and delicious but all the time i didnt feel secure. many malay people in the restaurant and they just stared at me from the moment i parked my car beside the restaurant.

sometimes it really depends on the luck. but i really dont see there is anything interesting in melaka, plus the risk...not worthy at all. it's the first time but probably the last time for me to drive there.

i covered my meters with a piece of dirty cloth, took out hi fi face plate, remove gps dock, brought along my gps, hi fi, cash card etc.. juz to play safe.

No valuables in sight...

My auntie side window was smashed coz she left an open pack of cig in the passenger seat...juz imagine how desperate are they.

Just like one of the forumer has mention, at least your family is safe and also they left you your car to drive back home. But thanks for the tip, will try to avoid staying that hotel next time.
