Hi bros, my rear windscreen has been fogging up almost every time I turn on my aircon, especially at night. It does annoy me especially I cannot see clearly my rear view from my mirror.

Does any bros have a solution for this?

Is your car very short in interior or has rear aircon blower cos by the time the air gets to the rear windscreen is not so cold already.

Maybe you can try to increase the temp setting or direct the blowers away from the rear screen.

do not lower yr temp, 23 shld be good enough. sometimes if cool air leaks, this problem arises.

There some other reasons. Check and adjust your a/con temp. setting and use the correct demister.

Front demister simply make use of the blower but the rear demister use heating strips.

Check for the function of the heating strips on your rear windscreen by placing your hand near it (don't

touch it) just feel the warmness if not, the demister faulty. [cool]

Often, the air in the car will be warmer than the air outside the car (this happens in winter here). Moisture will condense on the inside of the windows if the outside air is cooler than the dew point inside the car. This happened to me a lot when driving through a thunderstorm caused by an incoming cold front. In this case, running both the air conditioner, the heater, and the vents for defrosting the front window worked very effectively. The air conditioner dehumidifies air because water condenses inside it when the air goes past the cold tubes with the refrigerant inside. Heating it up way past its dew point makes it feel dry, and it is dry -- it

your centre aircon louvers/outlets must been pointing in a "top and central" direction

can try to adjust this to slightly lower position, instead of pointing to the top, and it will prevent the cold air from reaching the rear windscreen.

For my solution, when im out driving to my office. timing 8am+, weather is cool, normally i wind down the window. The dense will clear off itself, after a few wind through**

Or just apply RainX like,.. every once per week will do. Since RainX last for about a week, depends on the weather condition. [:p]

Just my 5cents. [rolleyes]
