Babyckh 5th Gear January 2, 2010 Share January 2, 2010 (edited) With that, they classified it as model is not available, only offer to pay me based on my original purchased price which is much much lesser than value than the new Wish option. They are paying you back the original price so what is the problem? You had already earned your < 12 month ride. Or you are expecting them to pay you more then what they should have paid you? Kb27 Supersonic January 2, 2010 Share January 2, 2010 You should be thankful AIG is willing to pay you back the original price. Most insurance would pay you "market rate", which is like what the dealer will take from you;.... at half the price.

Babyt 4th Gear January 2, 2010 Share January 2, 2010 (edited) TS is just trying his luck. Sorry TS but you sound so cheapskate. If a civic 1.6 kenna bang, do u have the right to ask for 1.8 or even 2.0l model?? no doubt all of them are called CIVICs. dont let greed rules ur mind. and by the way, even if the new WISH is now more expensive, what can u do? the first day u drove ur old WISH ur car already depreciating..u expect AIG to give up more money coz of rising COE and new car price? if coe and price drops and AIG give u less than what u brought, u will also not happy. Vinceyeo Neutral Newbie January 2, 2010 Share January 2, 2010 (edited) TS dont be lame ah... How can 2.0 be the same as 1.8... This is a joke and I pity the claim officer who was trying to reason with you. I bet during work/social chats you have become the joke of the day complain to his/her friends! You are right however if they try and push you for a 1.6L wish as that is not the right model too. That is unacceptable. Seriously just take the original price offer and if you dont have the funds to top up for a new 2.0 wish then look for other alternatives like 2nd hand 1 yr old 1.8 model lor... No wonder our insurance premium keep going up with this kind of scenarios happening as well -.- Edited January 2, 2010 by Vinceyeo
Mcf777 Turbocharged January 2, 2010 Share January 2, 2010 wa lao, paying you back the original price u still grumble. somemore want sky and ground. 1.8 to 2.0. What a joke. Quicky grab the offer and choose the next car. AIIIIIG, if you are reading this thread, delay this person payment till 2-3years later.

Pukonto Neutral Newbie January 2, 2010 Share January 2, 2010 (edited) Hi all, Last week my BM 1.8 Toyota Wish has accident at main junction, car was badly damaged and surveyor stated it is beyond economical to repair and going to scrap the car. My ride is less than 1 yr, so under A!Gee term, the contract written they should replaced me a new ride with "Same make" and "Same model" if car is available from BM (and only BM, can’t be PI sigh….). Today received A!Gee offer, they claimed the New Wish from BM is not considered as "Same model" just because it is 2.0 lit (I guess merely this option cost them more in compensating me) With that, they classified it as model is not available, only offer to pay me based on my original purchased price which is much much lesser than value than the new Wish option. Argued with the claim officer, can’t get any well explanation from them, just keep mentioned this WISH is not same model as new WISH. Put an scenario (assumption) let say new WISH released is only 1.6 lit and cost lesser than my previous ride, I guess they will say the WISH is the "Same make" and "Same model" and push me to accept it. Furthermore, if they have this condition in the first place, then their contract should state it as it must also be "Same engine capacity" in their contract. Couldn’t believe such a reputable insurance company will handle this case so unethical way just to find way to find excuses. Very upset and angry, wanted to pursue this case all the way up until got an reasonable compensation to defends my consumer right. 1. Have any bro/sis here have similar experience? Care to share the story with me. 2. Any legal advise or assistant I can look to? 3. Don you think Singapore Consumer Associate able to handle this case for me? 4. Any other advise can give me? Appreciate any advice or sharing from bro/sis here and thanks in advance. Brador, your wish kana totalled due to "accident" you want Insurer to give you a NEW 2L wish ? You are asking for the sky. They pay you original purchased price counted lucky already, cos your car is no longer new. You very funny. If can like that then everyone also accident liao lor, then ask for a new Ferrari Edited January 2, 2010 by Pukonto
