Nullifi3d 4th Gear September 23, 2013 Share September 23, 2013 To lose weight you need to lift weights - focus on workouts that make use of my core muscles at the same time e.g. bent over dumb bell rows, dumb bell laterals etc. But as some bros have mentioned, need to reduce the body fats through cardio before hitting the gym. Sure you can lift weights and your shirts get tighter but the moment you drop the routine it converts back to flabs.

So how many sets of pushup and how many reps need to do in order to achieve result? Do until you cannot do. Rest a while. Then repeat. It's all about pushing your muscles to the point that they are forced to adapt. With bodyweight exercises like pushups, you have to keep finding ways to make it challenging. For me, when I could do 100 consecutive pushups, I moved on to 1-arm pushups instead. But it's much easier and more convenient to exert load on specific muscles in the gym. Gym twice a week, 1 hour or less each time. It's not only the exercise, it's the whole lifestyle.
Myxilplix Turbocharged September 23, 2013 Share September 23, 2013 Kanasai I need to join the club liao, time for some lifestyle and dietary changes. Just hit 110kg and starting to feel some strain in the joints moving all this weight around. Plus my pants are getting tight, again. Need to research dietary plans but in the meantime I just cut down on the sugars and carbs first. Also started taking the stairs, kanasai walk up 3 floors only the thighs burning and need to start breathing harder, WEAK. Also ordering a weight bench/squat rack/dumbells/barbell and some rubber tiles for my new flat. Tis ish spartaaaa~
Chickenbackside 1st Gear September 23, 2013 Share September 23, 2013 (edited) When I first started, I vomited after jogging on a level road for 30 secs, and I was 120+kg. If I can do it, you can too. Sp4wn Turbocharged September 23, 2013 Share September 23, 2013 jia yo guys .. i havent felt this good in a long time. some days just eat whatever i like, but doing consistent 3x work out has really paid off. last time go shopping with gf 1-2 hours feel tired ... now 4-5 hours also can! dont focus on the numbers when you do it. i stopped checking my bench, how fast i can run. just focus on reaching the goal. every 2 weeks, just add a small weight increase, or try to run further (set markers along the route) thinking about buying a fitbit but i think my gf will kpkb because she lazy to exercise sometimes ... Myxilplix Turbocharged September 23, 2013 Share September 23, 2013 Unfortunately I can't run, messed up ankles since teenager. But i'm gonna also dust off my roadbike, get the wheels trued and start grinding out that mileage again. Disgusted with myself
Chickenbackside 1st Gear September 23, 2013 Share September 23, 2013 Pay attention to the diet, stress and sleep. Those things are much more effective than exercise for losing weight.

Peqasus 1st Gear September 23, 2013 Share September 23, 2013 Hiit does another wonderful thing for guys, it's a testosterone booster tat helps u pile on the muscles faster. Guys loses T* by 1% in their 30s. Tats a very positive cycle Ignites T*, builds more muscle, metabolism Increases. Bye bye fats. Do not exceed hiit for more than 20 min. It will increase ur stress hormone cortisol tt decreases T and negate hiit. So start Hiiting :) Google "hiit boost testosterone"

I always feel that as I reach an older age, beer belly is a natural thing to come. Until I started on this lifestyle then I start to learn that this should never be the case! You are definitely an inspiration to us all. At this age, and your physique, something everyone can look up to as a goal.
