hi all,

 

i need to get a black berry by 2molo. will sign up a new line... who should i go to? Singtel, M1, starhub?

 

i have been using Singtel coporate line for a few years... stopped now, so want to get a line under my name... i paying for phone and company paying the line...

 

Any advise please.... many many thanks...

 

btw i saw M1 having the Blackberry storm @ $198... wow... good offer?

Was on Stinktel plan for many years....finally fed up of them...fired them and no regrets.

 

Now on their Powertalk 700 (similar to Stinktel) and Blackberry premium data plan....I am paying lesser than what I paid for Stinktel !!

 

So go for Starhub or M1. (Starhub got free mobile TV to watch....most channel are free but some need to pay $1 per day and zero data charge for use in Singapore.)

 

Anyway....you seems to be new to Blackberry...do you need push mail in the first place ? If not the Blackberry might not be your cuppa of tea. Storm is one of the crappy BB phone....the touch screen is really CMI. Get the Bold or Bold II or the new Curve which IMHO is a much better choice.

Buy Blackberry should go or Starhub, they offer full warranty and when you have problems they courier down a set for 1 to 1 replacement. Other telcos might require you to hand in your set first before replacement, thus you will be without phone for a few days.

 

Do not get the Storm, it is the worse model among blackberrys. BB had never been good at touchscreen and the storm is no better, try to get a javelin, curve or bold. Bold is probably the best model but take note on the battery life. If you don't mind splashing out more, get the Bold 2.

used the 8250 for 3 years... yes i need push mail...

 

so the storm is not good? i mean compared to the bold 9700? i might get the storm as its on offer... still useable?

omg... no wonder M1 is hving a cheap promo on the storm... i intended to get it tonight actually... seriously is it that bad? still usable? or totally hopeless?

Ok...having test driven the Bold II...I personally using the Bold.

 

Summary....its like a WRX(Bold) vs STi (Bold II)

 

The WRX (Bold) is good but the STi (Bold II) is just that slightly better.

 

Form is good....its not like as big as the Bold. The qwerty keyboard feels good and phone cam (usually not a issue for me) is so much better than the Bold....its 3.2MP and comes with AF. Faster processor and higher expandable memory (16G vs 8G)

 

I want to upgrade !! :D :D :D

 

The Storm on the other hand...its crap. The touchscreen is not like those that I used....HP & O2 or any thing in the market....the stupid screen needs a hefty PUSH to activate the icons !! Usually touchscreen you touch and it does what you want....on the Storm...you need to push the screen itself down deliberately !!

 

Get the Bold II if you wanna buy....better than the Bold.

i saw at M1 shop just now... Blackberry Onyx 9700?

 

That is the Bold II.

 

Get it...the smaller size and optical trackpad beats the Bold trackball anytime.

if i'm paying, i'd wanna get a better one... think i'll just try to ask company pay... it'll b compay property n i wont bother so much to choose... haiz...

Hi guys, sorry to tag along this thread but i was wondering if any one of you blackberry users out there know any good (free/paid dosen't really matter) apps for checking the singapore stock market/ realtime charting? i know theres the free bloomberg one but is there any other good ones that you guys can recommend? im using the 9700 bold.
