So_nice 6th Gear December 25, 2009 Share December 25, 2009 just wondering wat is the difference between these 2 sizes? (15" & 16") cuz the car i'm intending to get is running on 16" and i refer to remain 15" and wanna bring over my oz superleggra. if the difference isnt too big then probably i'll just leave it as it is cuz its very troublsome as i dunno the dealer willing to find me 1 set of 15".. base on rubbers like eagle f1 & potenza re001. thanks! ↡ Advertisement
Zippaboy 4th Gear December 25, 2009 Share December 25, 2009 what is the new car? if i am you, i will sell off the 15" Oz rims. personally, i feel that 14"/15" is too small for most cars.

You can get a guideline on the price difference in the website here. Just select diffferent tyre size/profile and search. http://www.tyrepac.com/Form/B2C/Home.aspx?cc=sg Or you can call up any tyre shop to enquiry. Blueray Hypersonic December 26, 2009 Share December 26, 2009 maybe around $60 - $70 for bridgestone.

If the offset is right, it will look quite nice. My mum fitted a set of 16" on her previous Vios which she sold over a year ago.

DMC Neutral Newbie December 26, 2009 Share December 26, 2009 15 or 16 got its pro and con too! Pro for 15": cheaper tyres gd for pick up con: not many performance tyres to choose profile not so gd for hard cornering look out of proportion if the gap between fender and rubber too wide pro for 16": variety of performance tyres better profile compare to 15" looks gd (if with coilover/lower spring better!) can clear some BBK con: tyres higher cost than 15" (can't think of any) If got any, please feel free to add. Ivan96935sg Neutral Newbie December 26, 2009 Share December 26, 2009 Why bother so much over 15 or 16s..........just stick to 15 since the wheel arc for Vios not that big anyway.
Heartbreakkidz Clutched December 26, 2009 Share December 26, 2009 Bro,i oso thinking of this question for the past few mths, but i think i will go for 16inch as 15inch is really not much diff with 14inch which is what i am using now,so dun waste $$ change to 15 then to 16 again, straight away change to 16inch bah, btw,i only drive a small ge6 :)

For Vios, I think 15" is good enough with a set of decent tyres. But if you want to pamper yourself, upsize rim will look great. 15" to 16" will not be able to observe much different, mainly just the looks. As for the tyres, I think you need not to buy such good ones unless you are a speedy Vios.~ =P
Zniper 2nd Gear December 26, 2009 Share December 26, 2009 moreover if u wan comfy and stable ride & decided to lower down ur vios, 16" is not suitable cos it will bua the fender... even for 15" when doing full lock u-turn some rubber will bua the fender too... So_nice 6th Gear December 27, 2009 Author Share December 27, 2009 no la u all got mistaken. the vios i'm buying comes wif 16" cuz previous owner changed it to 16". i of course is prefer 15". as for choice of rubbers..i dun like those lesser brands as i'm quite a spirited driver by nature. furthermore i haf good experience with my current re001 hence i'm looking at it again.
