Errm, guys, to tell you the truth, in the Malay dictionary, the word "Cina" [pronounced: Chee-na] is used to describe a race and a language of those who have Chinese descent, e.g. "Bangsa Cina" -> Chinese Race, "Bahasa Cina" -> Chinese Language.. It's has been there for centuries, since the first of Malays who met a Chinese (Most probably a sailor/trader from China at that time).. So, to Malays, the word "Cina" is not a degratory word.. It's just the Malay-ised name for Chinese.. Like the Chinese-ised name for Malay people being "ma lai ren"..

Agreed. Been able to speak more languages is an asset. Wish I can speak Thai but a bit too old to learn.

oh ya. those are the real cruel ones.

while i was walking my dog near my estate, always got china construction workers staring at my dog hungrily.

 

but got one unofficial china volunteer group (10~15 people) that saves antelopes from the poachers without any funds.

they eat plain rice everyday and use the money they saved up for the small organisation to buy knives and other essential items.

they have no proper weapons to protect themselves from the poachers.

for the past few years, they keep appealing to the government to help them a little but to no avail.

 

those few i really salute.
