I think somewhere stated it's cheaper to get locally above a certain tyre size.

Wah 15" tyres so exp ah?

Mine XM2. From JB. 240RM per pc!

That article seems like an attempt to hard sell the tyres.  [laugh]

Yes, the T005A is made in Thailand

Bridgestone T005A is good too.

Sgcarmart say until like it's a heavenly tyre.  [laugh]

$105 for 185/60R15.

But please donât go to Kim Hoe Tyre & Battery. Poor service. When I have more time and on a computer, I share my experience.

Try Yap Bros. $127 for 17â is cheap.

Cheap! I bought T005A R16 $170/pc!!!

bro, so any improvement over the gr100?

I used GR100 and now using T005A (made in Thai). Both are very quiet and comfort. But I haven’t tried Advan dB, cannot comment which is better.

I feel quiter but of course the GR100 older and so noisier. I remember when I installed GR100, it was also very quiet. T005A is more comfort because I choose the thicker side wall 60 (GR100 was 55).

Yes I think I've read somewhere that tire sizes from like 14" to 16" will be cheaper up north but somehow 17" and above it is actually similar or even cheaper locally.

Was at Autobac yesterday evening and they are having promotion over that weekends.

Happen to saw the 17" Rim selling at 43% off the retail price if install at their workshop. Cash & carry price is $321.25/-.

So grab 4 rims and they recommended Bridgestones Ecopia EP 300 tyres.  Size 215/50/R17

Road handling & holding good and noise inside cut down   [thumbsup]

Going in to MY this weekends and test it out ... [drivingcar]

Hi there, sounds like a good deal you've gotten yourself. I was there at autobacs ubi yesterday afternoon too.

Any idea what brand/model were the 17" rims that you've gotten? Also good to know that you've tested it out and the handling/grip/noise are all great this far

"Race Club" which was on display just after the entrance (Ubi). So many models but this one catches my eye and bought on the spot.

After discount, 4 pieces for $888/- (list price is $321.25 per piece)

I chose this model cos easy washing off brake dust in my weekly washing of my car. No need of medium & small size brushes to clean odd corners. [sweatdrop]

Nice! How much did the 4x Bridgestone Ecopia 300 tires cost you on top of the 888 for the full set of rims?

Talking about weekly washing of your car, do you usually reach into the interior of the rims to clean? I've tried that and it's quite challenging and very dependent on the design of your rims. Usually just scrub the exterior surface of the rims

Is the brush similar to this?

611BGMyj4lL._SY355_.jpg

Maybe can consider buying cheap from ebay  [laugh]

I got the Tyre for $180 per piece. [lipsrsealed]

Because I also change all my rims, Autobac also give you free a set of lock nuts for my wheels.

There is a special brush for washing the inner of the rim sold at Autobac. If yours too long never wash, buy a bottle of "Rim Shine" spray and spray on the inner side. Wait for 5 minutes and wash it off with car shampoo.

Another labour intensify wash is to remove wheel by wheel to wash the inner side. That's only if you have the afternoon time to spare...  :secret-laugh:
