Cypher 4th Gear August 7, 2018 Share August 7, 2018 For the thread title, best comfort/quiet around currently should be bridgestone T005A. just replace them, really feel the different, compare to another car i just replace with michelin primacy 3st (2 mths back) both new tyres, primacy 3 st no fight in term of comfort and quietness. ( but how long this turanza can last, i dun expect much , from experience , normally very comfort tyres wear quite fast, i would be happy with 40-50k) Hows the wet condition performance? ↡ Advertisement

In the end, I will never know.

Matrix0405 5th Gear August 19, 2018 Share August 19, 2018 (edited) For 15" tires, which models are the 1) cheapest, 2)Quietest, 3)Long Last. Have used a Taiwan brand before, cheap & quiet but tires did not last long, suspect the resin used was soft but worn out fast. Also, is it true that its cheaper to get 15" in JB, same price for 16" and more expensive for 17" and above. Benchong05 3rd Gear August 19, 2018 Share August 19, 2018 Just to update that I have changed to Michelin Primacy 4 and the comfort level and quietness of the tyres are very good which is also better than my previous XM2. Dry braking performance is also good but yet to try the wet braking. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

Confirmed 15" tyres cheaper in JB that you don't have to consider Taiwan brand. 1) cheapest, 2)Quietest, 3)Long Last. Can choose either 1 only. 1) Cheapest -> Achilles ATR Sports 1/2 - RM135-150 2) Quietest -> Continental CC6 - RM150 3) Long Lasting -> Michelin XM2 - RM230 Edited August 19, 2018 by Cypher

Nav14 6th Gear August 22, 2018 Share August 22, 2018 Tried gr100 before. Before 10kkm. Noise becomes bad The GR90 lasted only 40k km. Switched back to the Yokohama V551 which lasted 50k + km and now to V552 which are the quietest and most comfortable types in the market now. Decent handling though cannot compare to the performance based tyres.
Earthboy 4th Gear August 22, 2018 Share August 22, 2018 (edited) Mine stock came with db 70e. After 10k, steering like no control. Car like floating when driving at expressway speed.swap them out when they reached 14k. I wonder if 552 is better since it is under the Advan series.
