Imac 5th Gear October 10, 2017 Share October 10, 2017 can consider CC6. Just install 4 pc of them yesterday. really very quiet (of course, subject to road condition, maybe new tyre too) Comfort.. really world apart from my former UHP, like most have said, it literally eat bumps efficiency: think good, can slowly glide at road without stepping on gas. go Malaysia and installed, only paid RM160 for 1 pc excluding GST. RM160 only... Thats very good price for 16" CC6 tyres. ↡ Advertisement
Kurty Supercharged October 11, 2017 Share October 11, 2017 I guess cc6 is a MY made tyre. yup, made in malaysia. mine are week 1417 Pretty decent review online, and nice price point for the CC6. Is there anything bad about Malaysia made? At ~sgd$55 it is really 1 of the cheapest comfort tire . not sure but i read a lot about CC6. initially was comparing with XM2,most would go for CC6 as it's cheaper. formally i was on kumho, made in korea. Good but really find it noisy and uncomfortable due to the low profile of 45.
Kurty Supercharged October 11, 2017 Share October 11, 2017 (edited) The price you quote include air valve? nope, got to pay extra at RM5 each. basically i spend nearly RM1.1k on that day. 4 tyre front brake pad rear left bearing again.. (this is the 3rd set for this year due to poor road condition) spring buffer, as i going for a profile of 55, had to add up the height otherwise will had a bad time when ferrying the rear. FOC: balancing and alignment. i maybe going there again, should anyone be keen. My rear suspension is gone, intend to get it replaced. of course, that is provided that i have wasted my balance 4 coe bidding. actually with this new tyre, i dont even feel like getting a new car. its very comfort and quiet.. at least for my self proclaimed standard Btw bro, your price here; what size are your tires? my apology, how could i miss this. mine are 185/55/15. rule of the thumb, anything exceeding 17', stick to SG for change. We got better and cheaper tire here. Edited October 11, 2017 by Kurty

Hence, i would take the extra mile to go in. OEM/renault spare parts are easily available for me, relatively cheaper if you convert back to SGD. of course, i only frequent to those that i have been before. I'm very particular when comes to meddling with my ride.

Armedoo Clutched October 11, 2017 Share October 11, 2017 Read an earlier thread on mcf last month that the Dunlop formula d05 is very noisy for some bros here. Not sure if it is an isolated case or generally not as quiet as we expect it to be.

Been raining since I got them on Monday. Of course, cannot compare to uhp standard. Just drive slow when rain or puddle

Cauldron 6th Gear October 13, 2017 Share October 13, 2017 YOu may want to read up the review for CC6 again. I went to read up on some of the review, one point which sticks out is CC6 is never used in braking test. I find the spider chart in this link to be quite infomative. https://paultan.org/2017/01/26/continentals-generation-6-comfortcontact-cc6-and-ultracontact-uc6-sampled-now-available-in-malaysia/

Kurty Supercharged October 13, 2017 Share October 13, 2017 How does CC6 compare to Kumho KU31/PS31, assuming you have tried Kumho before?.. yeah, but using kumho for the last 10 years for both KU31 and PS31. both are good summer or uhp tyres. very good at dry and wet. stopping was never an issue. price is cheap too, $70/pc for made in korea. 195/45/15 suits those who want that kind of sporty tyre maybe i getting old, appreciate comfort and quietness. hence the moment, i got CC6 on.. it really stunned me. For the first time, i felt so quiet and comfortable in my car. i can hear my audio and engine accelerating smoothly so far, i tried 2 pax in the car. slight rubbing as compare when i'm on 195. After all, my ride's stock are 175/50/15 FC, yet to try. Maybe tomorrow i will pump petrol when it lights up and give another update on FC. probably will buy PS71 for my wife's car when comes to year end. currently using RE002 only, coming to 4 years old but low mileage ↡ Advertisement
