Zomb1e Neutral Newbie December 19, 2009 Share December 19, 2009 Never trust Indo tyres, btw how much for a pcs for 205/40/17? I got a pcs of Federal SS595 for $113 - how abt that? er... bro..... so u trust taiwan ppl??? tyres are just rubber..... and of course the compound of it.... MOST impt fact which most ppl always forget.... is the treading of the tyre!! cos it is the treading that will be noisy or quiet.... n if it can cut the water... or grip ard corners..... Federal is not bad.. but y do u put down a indo made tyre? do u know most tyre brands are fast moving to 3rd world countries to manufacture due to cost so we can have cheaper tyres.... who benifit US!! another pt i will like to put across... have u use or tested the delfin tyres? If not pls try 1st then say as it has no basis on yr finding.... As for me i have used the ss595 and after 3 months and 10k the tyres become abit more noisy and grip not as good... 1 man's medicine is another man's poison... I am currently on the delfin DK7000 195/55/15 and i tell u... the drive off after tat was wonderful!!!!! As the feel was way better than when i got the SS595!!! and the GRIP and CUT of the water!!!! WAH KAO!!! Si Beh Song!!!!!!!!!! I am doing sales and daily i travel ard 160-250 km.... and after 2 1/2 weeks.... 3,468km... I still got the same feeling as i got it on the very 1st day!!! Thus.... we cannot say indo tyres no good.. or any other make of tyres from any 3rd world countries... We have to "look outside the box" if not i will ask u... a very simple question... will u want to drive a tyre that can perform and save yr life when needed... (had done min 7 e-brakes due to damn taxi!!! and distance is shorter then that when i was on the SS595...) or... drive a branded tyre that might not??? Last but not least.... THANK YOU AH HO!! Good reconmendation and I'M LOVING IT!!!! Cheers!! ↡ Advertisement
Subutai 3rd Gear December 20, 2009 Share December 20, 2009 To be honest, when Ah ho moved over to the new ws, I was looking at the Delfin logo and did a search to show DK7000 and DK5000. I got interested and enquired up on it. According to him, both models do not have the size i wanted although available from the searches online. Didn't try other sizes as there wasn't much info on these tyres except some websites stating its made in indonesian for Netherlands on European know how technology... IF its meant for netherlands, no prize for guessing that they are in the temperate region. My concern is that any tyres will harden with usage and since we are in the tropical region (typically hot and humid), its even less forgiving. I can't find info that say these tyres are suitable or localized, if you can, please share. However, something disturb me in this thread because I hate to read messages from maybe 'clones' who want to generate interest to stir up sales or favors or whatever. No offense intended, but the typical statements of trusting the man, he can't be wrong, etc, is kinda subjective, personal and suspicious. Bro Bettertomorrow, are you BlueCity? Bro Bluecity are you YSH or...?? Bro YSH - at least i think i know you should be ah ho. Cos in your posted photofile of DK5000, shows photobucket with a folder structure and one of the folders is named bluecity. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/blu...lfin/DK5000.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/blu...lfin/DK7000.jpg Ah ho used pictures from these 2 site locations above to advert in another forum. Ryanyusoff 2nd Gear December 22, 2009 Share December 22, 2009 Found some info on Delfin, but not sure if its applicable to local Delfin tyre.... Delfin tyres are manufactured in Indonesia by Multistrada in accordance with current standards in Europe and in close collaboration with the Finnish company Nokian, well known for its excellent winter tyres. Thanks to the European technology and know-how, Delfin is a reliable reference of the tire market.Their most popular models are the DK5000 and DF7000, developed for passenger vehicles in Europe, and the Multimaxx, launched in September 2009, mainly for commercial vehicles. Reference: http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/car-tyres/DELFIN/ i'm not doubting anyone here, but if built in accordance with standards in europe, how to cope with our weather here?not flaming, just asking so we can all share knowledge. Im wary abt house brand tyres performance just like firenza.I really doubt any good manufacturer will give their best technology n know how to others house brand or to their own 2nd in house brand. Just like Bridgestone do u think they will make a firestone tyre better than bridegstone itself. For me to try tis tyre maybe its damn very cheap if not i would prefer to stick to international 2nd tier brand top range if budget is the main concern.
