should not have used WMV at the first place because it is compressed format.

Anyway, you can use this free and good software to convert any video to any format, include VOB

http://www.formatoz.com/

After which, you need to put the VOB files into VIDEO_TS folder and then burn to DVD

I can redo the montage but do you mind teaching me how to do it in other format? And which format do you think is better? Cuz i think it is default wmv for windows media maker. I do not have any other software

and the video_TS folder means just name a folder as video_ts will do?

sorry complete noob

I tried but they only allow limited time and some with watermark too....

the one i recommend is freeware and can convert to DVD VOB. no water mark, no crippled feature and no expiry date

If you open a standard DVD-Video disc on your PC, you will find a "AUDIO_TS" and "VIDEO_TS" folder.

AUDIO_TS is usually empty, it is for DVD-Audio

VIDEO_TS is where u will put all the files you have converted...there should be serveral VOB, IFO, BUP files inside.

After that, just burn the VIDEO_TS folder into DVD-R that's all

I am not sure what is the source format you work on. AVI format will be the best because it is raw, non-compressed format. However, the file size is extremely huge and it is slow to process.

If you source is mp4, divx, dv or some other format, you can try using the software that i recommended and convert it to AVI first, after that, do your usual editing and make sure you export it as AVI at the end. Then convert it to DVD-VOB and burn to DVD-R

I am not sure which editing software you are using, some can even create menu, and export to VOB directly.
