I use my car for transport etc. I just need a good reliable & economical car. The Corona suited me just fine.

If u looking for something sporty, then maybe the S2000 wil suit u but then again how reliable & trouble-free is your present car?

If u change, the new car might just not b without problems. U know yr present car best so u have to decide.

I just rebuild the engine... Suspension... all the bushing in the car replaced...

Changed all the pumps, brake, clutch master and slave, fuel...... repiped the entire car.... is a brand new car now....

No problems... this car is famous for being super reliable.... even when a pipe is loose... it can still go on... cos the sensors in the engine itself... TRD in JGTC used this engine for their supra.... the code is 503...

Right now.. i am getting about 11km/l if i don't whack.....

Is a fast car.... compared to s2000....

That is why... i'm holding back to get the s2000.... no more speed.... just drift...

I'll see how...

Regretted selling away my Vios because it was after the first MT car that I drove. Very low monthly installment and completely problem-free.

But I didn't like to be tied down by a loan, no matter how small, and the car that I got after that quickly erased those regrets. [:p] Fantastic drive. I could drive the thing around for hours without feeling bored. When I recently sold it, it was heartbreaking to say the least and I still wake up these days wishing that I had it back.

But the S2k is not a slow car either even in stock form. If you want to keep the NA driving experience, the S2k is probably the best car in that price bracket. Love the revvy engine. Of course if FI-ed...

On the other hand, even though the S2k is technically still a mid-engine car, hearing the engine in front of you is a lot less exciting than hearing it fire up behind you.

YES.

I too regretted selling my COE Corona CD. Superb car. Built like a tank.

Only reason I sold it was cos gharmen say they going to reduce the number of COEs so that only means price of COE is going to shoot up. I had 1 more year to go on my Corona so I quickly sold it & bought an Optra.

Unfortunately after I sold, we had a downturn & COE prices dropped to as low as $5K. [bigcry]

If I had kept my Corona & renewed e COE, I wud only have paid about $7K to use for another 10 years. That wud mean a depreciation of only $700/year.

And yes, the Corona wud have been able to last another 10 years. It was in super good condition.

Now I maintain my Optra well & hope it gives me the same trouble-free service my Corona gave.

still remember your Corona plate number?

is it still around?

my friend's bro bought one during NS for travelling to army camps.

i tried it before, very good built quality.

I was reading your signature... u have an AE101....

Find a AE111 levin or trueno... retain your corolla chassis and upz the ae111 levin or trueno... you have a mapped 4age with 6 speed tranny.. and super firm suspension....

Fantastic power to weight ratio!

Ya... I am going to talk to my foreman and a former super gt tuner... on how much can be squeezed on the s2000...

Cos at stock... at top end speed it feels exhausted.... it takes a long while to get to 200km/h...

Right now... my car is not fantastic... i'm getting 0-200km/h in 12secs...

I believe your timing is faster.... HKS parts right? [thumbsup]

Hehehe yes the 4age blacktop or 4agze will both be excellent replacements. [gossip][lipsrsealed]

There're some videos of toyota modding extremists who run a 4agzte engine in these things. Twincharged power...

Twin charged!!!! so cool....

The most extreme I saw... was a japanese tuner getting 400hp on a 4agze....

How he did it.. he won't leak.... only 1 aw11 has that engine.... and is problem free... lol

I still love playing with the 4age20.... super taikyu series... it revs at 10krpm!!!

The 4agze block is super sturdy. Toyota used to overengineer like crazy (think of the 2JZ...) Not too surprised at the 400bhp figure actually.

That version of the 4age20 is damn nice for driving. If you have a car with one of those things, you might actually find that the S2k doesn't rev high enough for your liking. [laugh]

Haha mine had HKS parts but it's not the red legend. Regretfully I never did time the 0-200km/h on the thing...

I heard before that keeping the S2k in NA form, you can still reach low 300+ bhp, but I don't know if the mech I was talking to was referring tot he 2.2l or the older 2l version.

Ya i think i know your car... hahahaha

Your quarter mile is about 11+secs

how much horse power I don't know... you are getting 0-200km/h in about 10-11secs.

I can't catch you bro.... lol

High revs F20C... more power F22C....

If get the s2000... it'll be F20C.... higher revs...

F22C... increment in stroke...

I'll see what the tuner says...

Where did your 180SX go????? I am looking for one!!!!!!

I like the narrowness of the 180sx... compared to s13 200sx....

I tried with alot of contacts here... but mostly are 200sx....

This was back in melb. Sold her when I fell too ill to drive her. It was shipped to Darwin where i became 2 cars. Everything in the engine bay + the driveline went into a NA silvia, while the chassis, suspension, body etc had a worked SR20 and driveline from a damaged 180 dropped in.

The 200 is identical to the 180 unless you're talking about the s13 silvia

Those were the days. everything was over-engineered, from Nissans, to Toyotas, to Hondas....

It's more precisely classified as an FMR. The engine is situated much nearer the firewall than other FR cars to shift the centre of mass of the car further behind the front axle. Still not the same as the common definition of an MR car where the engine's behind the driver, but the handling of the S2k owes a bit to this layout.
