Happily1986 5th Gear December 12, 2009 Share December 12, 2009 As above? I myself regretted not taking over my dad's previous car the G9 Corolla. I always call it the Hipporolla, very willing to rev somemore fuel efficient. Ever tried to hypermile and ended up doing 700km to a tank. Now when i see other Hipporollas on the roads, keep regretting. [bigcry] ↡ Advertisement

Only reason I sold it was cos gharmen say they going to reduce the number of COEs so that only means price of COE is going to shoot up. I had 1 more year to go on my Corona so I quickly sold it & bought an Optra. Unfortunately after I sold, we had a downturn & COE prices dropped to as low as $5K. If I had kept my Corona & renewed e COE, I wud only have paid about $7K to use for another 10 years. That wud mean a depreciation of only $700/year. And yes, the Corona wud have been able to last another 10 years. It was in super good condition. Now I maintain my Optra well & hope it gives me the same trouble-free service my Corona gave. Yeah Bro, i share the same sentiments as you.... Only difference, my ride was a problematic coe civic, EG9... Though it was a problematic car, i really loved it for it's raw power (stock). Really regretted selling it, almost dropped tears when i saw my dealer fren drived the car away... Now, am thinking of getting back another coe civic, which is the EK4.... Sw20 2nd Gear December 12, 2009 Share December 12, 2009 S2000 good choice... but expensive when you can already can buy SLK for that price... Sorry... I only love japanese cars... their balance are as good as their katanas. The only contis i will get is a lotus... but insurance is too ex. No doubt BMW and MERC and AUDI makes good engine.... But the feel will never be compared to a japanese. So far, BMW M3 CSL drives like a japanese car... is the best german car i would say ever produced! Then again... thought not to... then again i like the looks of S2K... Confused ================ I use my car for transport etc. I just need a good reliable & economical car. The Corona suited me just fine. If u looking for something sporty, then maybe the S2000 wil suit u but then again how reliable & trouble-free is your present car? If u change, the new car might just not b without problems. U know yr present car best so u have to decide.

I was never sad to get rid of a problematic car. The Corona was problem-free. thats why I regreted selling it. B careful of those Civics. Most were heavily modded & whacked by the previous owners. Maintenence & reliability wil b negative factors with those cars. I like the car to work for me, not the other way around. Some cars I had were really a pain. I was only too happy to get rid of them.
