And after a night of booze and dancing away the night, they must be really from another planet if they talk BHP with you!!

 

The only BHP they will probably talk is your BHP.....

haha you got a point. they will be drunk by then to notice the badge... if that is the case, you are right Koup is better than Altis. haha then i remove altis from my list, but i will still stick to lancer over Koup... err.. but a lancer with totally body kitted one.

You might get your wish [:p] , remember I heard on the news the other day that recently those making batic ( don't know is it spell this way ) shirts manufactures in Indonesia calculated that it would be more cost saving to produce their shirts in China and than ship back to sell in Indonesia... China is really growing at a very fast pace.

 

hehe cannot imagine.

 

if only singaporean can shake off the MIC = bad image in their brain. if not i dont think our local AD will bring in the better models. just look at Skoda. haiz

Yeah, Skoda is actually much better now, I can say that VW group did them good, but still nobody really liked them.

you mean no body in singapore like them. i read that they are very well recieved in europe.

 

but i find that Harvest strategy is wrong liao. they should build up on their reputation first before they increase the price of their car.

I cannot imagine Octavia 1.4 TSI 122 bhp is selling at Jetta twin charge price. Unless you need the space, who in the right mind will buy it?

I totally agree with you, maybe they were betting on people seeing that they are now under the VW group people will buy I guess. Wrong strategy for a Singapore market. But if its the other way around ,Toyota buys over Geely and BM also becomes their AD, I think Geely will increase sales when they launch their new models [laugh]

provided they dont increase the price lah.. haha.

 

personally i felt they should do what they did with superb. sell it at lower by 5~10K of similar spec Jetta with feature pack octavia. i was gunning for it to sell at around that price and i will be bought over.

[hur] [hur] Not all girls want to be seen in a beng mobile. At least a stock Koup looks sporty and decent from factory. A stock Koup vs a souped up cs3 with full body kits. I wonder which one is more of a sports car wannabe? ^_^

that part which you quote is more of a nosense talk already lah. i will still prefer stock Lancer or altis outside of club lah. cause i only drove past. i dont like clubbing.

yup...VW pricing is way more competitive than Skoda's...

 

though the Octavia wins in features, you just can't ignore the price...

 

VW Golf 1.4TSI 122bhp now at $86,800 if you take a bank loan...

Skoda Octavia 1.4TSI from $92,800-95,800 depending on liftback or estate...

 

that kind of price can get a Golf 1.4TSI 160bhp from PI...then same features already...

 

top up another 10k (which isn't a lot for people shopping for such cars) from Skoda price, can get Golf GTi from PI too...

 

nowadays girls know quite a bit on cars too...at least they can differentiate a 6-series convertible to your Koup right??

I think it is still early for us to judge. I think it is better than we let all those people get their koup 1st. Who knows the Koup can really go fast despite what it was mention on spec. The 2l of course.

Yes they are....as long it is about cars. And more so if you are comparing a Koup and an Altis.

 

If it a a Beemer and a Koup, then maybe yes, they may choose the beemer. Or maybe still Koup for the fun factor. Hard to say which.

 

But a Altis and koup? You must be dating gals from another planet if you think the gals will choose the Altis.

 

Big hp can't be seen...but looks certainly can and that's what matters most to them.

 

 

if gals chose you based on the car you drive, then good luck to you.

judging from your shallow views on this post, i think you are not married.

dude...in front of a club, the gals are impressed just by the looks.

 

You think they care how much hp the Koup has?

 

the koup will be just another tuscani to them.

 

the girls nowadays are much smarter, they won't wanna be caught in a ricer/poser car.

 

like a TS, modify until like STI.

I thnk this car 2-3yrs later can buy at low 30k

 

no need buy 1st hand.. Same like H brand Tuscani

 

 

its a possibilty. korean sports cars have never done well in spore. as koup is still a new model, the hype and excitement is still there.

after a few years, it will fizzle out slowly.
