Ya just managed to interpret the ruling.

Singapore cars will NOT be restricted to only 20L left in tht tank upon leaving Malaysia, only the 20L pumping rule remains. Which means that we can still pump petrol for only 20L within 50km radius...

Lucky my ride is small and max is 36L. No problem la. [laugh]

Heard over the Ch 8 News that the 20 litres Rule will not be applied to Singapore registered vehicles. The reason being SG registered car leaving their country are already subject to compliance of 3/4 tank rules currently in forced in SG.

How they check ur car juz pump less den 20L? Funny

News mentioned they will deploy custom officers to do random checks on the 20L rule. Most probably they will check the receipts. They will probably instruct the pump owners and cashiers to set the pump limit to 20L only.

THe ruling will start 0000 hours tonight, so bros here better dun go in now, will be very messy and confusing... [dizzy][sweatdrop][hur]

wait a minute, surely there'll be more than a few petrol stations within 50km radius. just pump 20L at one station, then 20 at another and so on. unless all these stations have cctv all interlinked to check for same car numbers

lol... limit 20L is still ok... but they hiring more officers to check our fuel? might as well save the manpower cost and let us enjoy it? at the end LPPL.

Their brains are ever still the most expensive brains in this world.

" Datok Ismail said Singapore-registered cars were exempted from the ruling because of a policy by the Singapore government.

However, if they want to refill in any border towns, the stations have been instructed not to fill in more than 20 litres."

He said any petrol station caught disobeying the regulation will be fined RM250,000 while individuals will be fined RM100,000 or jailed for up to three years, or both."

Within JB Town, there are so many stations, after buying 20 litres at station A, one can proceed to station B to buy another 20 litres. How does the officer stations B knows that one had earlier on pumped 20 litres at station A.

So its confirmed that the rule enforced is only about pumping a max of 20Litres but don have to ensure there is max of 20 litres in the car upon leaving the JB customs?
